Im unsure what this means. Does it mean that if I log in before the maintenance I wont be logged out during the maintenance? Or what does "unaffected" mean?

Because the messages says the servers will be taken offline. Which usually means you can't stay logged in... but now we can? or what? It's contradictory?

That would generally indicate that it's the login servers that are being taken offline, not the world servers themselves. -

But then it does say the megaservers are being taken offline, not the login servers.
I agree that the only logical interpretation is that anyone who logs in before maintenance starts will be able to stay online while maintenance is going on, but I also think it's a very odd way to word the announcement. Good question. Im still quite unsure if it does indeed mean we can stay logged in. I agree that from the wording "unaffected" when logged in prior I would say this is the case, but that is just very unusual for ESO when the Megaservers are taken offline (dont think it has ever been the case that we can stay logged in when the mesaservers are taken offline?).

If you look at the banner on top of this page (which I admit I've only just done, so I've no idea how long it's been up), it specifically states "login". -
