Watch some ESO youtubers. Both pve & pvp. All of them are end-game players and all of them say that this set wont be bis because of flaw it has. Sustain is almost imposible with it. Next patch we have a global skill cost increase and... no one will be willing to have 5% more expensive skills & ultimate. Even if they will get more pen & weapon / spell dmg.

I disagree, as a Breten its very easy for me to use this set even in no CP I can easily sustain with 1700 mag recovery

Thanks for the opinion but you're some two months late in the discussion ;)

It definitely hasn't replaced most other dps sets so idk what op has been looking at. Sustain nerfs they made last patch made New Moon pretty [Snip] for some builds. Only a Redguard DK with a weapon skills build could probably use it effectively.

I unno. I slotted resource poisons just to be evil last week for a few days. Most folks ran or died. Whether they had on New Moon or not lol.

Sure the 10% Stam increase is prob multiplicative. Not enough to completely drain away someone’s Stam but just enough to throw off someone’s rhythm. Now the cowardice poison...lol.

Yep. I so thoroughly despise the sustain issues introduced last patch that even though the set looks pretty good, I won't even consider it. There's a reason it's not used in most meta builds...people HATE sustain issues. 5% on every single skill adds up quickly. Nothing kills your DPS like running out of resources. But then again, with all the nerfs to DSP last patch, that's probably the idea behind it.

NMA is a nicely balanced set for certain roles and situations. It’s especially useful for solo players thanks to the extra pen. It has clear advantages and disadvantages, which is refreshing. It isn’t the right tool for every job though, which is as it should be. Hunding’s and Julianos are still the bread and butter sets for the masses. It’s also nice to have a useful 9 trait set for those of us who put in the time to get there.

Reading this thread is funny because the set is actually part of most generic pvp builds now.

Yep, build variety in PvP has been steamrolled by this set.

I don't use it but basically everybody I know runs it on their Stamina characters.

Not exactly a super healthy situation.

nothing wrong with new sets being made but please zenimax please keep all the old sets alone so we can maintain old builds, and please make new sets for more future new builds, but we still want the old sets to remain as is.

It is because of threads like this I have not crafted & golded this set yet. I have mats, and I plan to use it, but because I see threads like this, that actively try to remove/nerf some cool non-meta stuff from a game, because some one MAY find it useful...

    Game stagnates because of this.

This set is extremely meta, dunno what you're on about. All these 450 weapon and spell damage sets need to be toned down, or other sets need to be brought up cuz it craps all over diversity.

Being bis does not make it overpowered. It's just old sets are garbage, especially proc sets. You can nerf it and there will be another bis. I have it golden as I have golden most of other sets so I don't care and I can replace it any second.

Its been a few months now and I’m seeing LOTS of players in chat requesting it, pretty much anyone “looking for a crafter” is actually just asking for this set.

I ran it on my mag sorc with False God and an infused recovery glyph on necklace. Ended up with 36k magicka, 47% crit, 1750 mag regen and some 2900 spell damage. Didnt have any issues with sustain and my frags were critting for 41k.

    I dig it.

I'm interested to see how this set turns out next update

So for those who dont know this is a craftable set
    2 – 833 Weapon and Spell Critical
    3 – 129 Weapon and Spell Damage
    4 – 1487 Physical and Spell Penetration
5 – Adds 481 Weapon and Spell Damage. Increase the cost of your active abilities by 5%.

That 5% increase could most likely be negated with certain passives, and even so 5% isn't alot IMO.

Has anyone crunched the numbers on running this set with 3× infused cost reduction jewelry?

Cost reduction is probably one of the worst traits to have on jewelry. You're better off with Stamina or Magicka recovery if the goal is sustain.

Given that it's craftable it seems like it would be a go to set for anyone just getting their cp were it not for the fact that it takes 9 traits to craft and you need a master crafter to do that for you. By the time anyone gets 9 traits to craft it for themselves, they'll have found better sets to use from dungeons or trials.

given that hundings, mechanical, and sload are 6 trait craftable they are more accessible for one to craft for themselves they seem like more likely choices
After careful consideration (and oh! so much deliberation) we have concluded that you circumstance sounds too much like a l2p issue for it to be just a mere coincidence.

It's main appeal to me is that it offers some support for hybrid builds. On my alt templar I use the stamina morph of the spear throw, due to the knock back. But I don't do anything challenging with him. He's mainly for the writs.

For trials the penetration is a wasted set piece. I can reach the penetration floor with 9 CP, something i wont miss. crit can stack and be mulitplied much better than raw spell damage, so a set like mothers sorrow is a much more powerful set. Then you have superior trial sets like perfected sioria and false gods. Lastly you have comparable sets like BSW, spell strategiest etc... soo while yes this set really is a great craftable set its not gonna replace end game builds.

For pvp it will be a 2nd tier set. Strong and loaded with raw damage but no real spice to it.

More than anything this set just shows how poor almost every other craftable set is and how they need to be audited to similarly match NMA.

Spell Strat focuses one target for the 5th bonus, though. I've tried it as a mag, but don't prefer it as everyone see's who is marked as well.

Still going to use mother's sorrow and False God or BSW on my MagSorc and Hundings and Relequen or Vicious Serpent on my StamDK. So I don't really care.

It looks good but ZoS is increasing the resource cost in general, that 5% may create more problems than you think.
Combining with Bone Pirate or Shacklebreaker? Perhaps. I will not drop my Relequen for this, to be honest.

They're increasing resource cost again!?? I wish I knew this before buying the add-on. I'm tired of this...if it's actually true.
