So how many players got through the battle with the dragon and SiSahan? The one involving the dragon horn. I tried at least 4-5 times...no go. So write that one off...

What do you mean? I got through it quite easily.

    Kill the adds.

Move off to the side while Sai brings the dragon down.

Dps Dragon till it flies away

    Repeat 2 more times.

    What? Confused.

Are you saying you could not kill the dragon at the end of prologue quests?

Near the end of the battle...the dragon keeps taking me out with the fireballs. Can't seem to dodge them...

Just keep strafing. No stopping. Use ranged attacks, and have a heal ready in case you take damage.

Keep on the move and use a tri pot or health pot if you need to. Stay a bit farther from it.

Get a self heal and/or a shield on your bar. Practice moving around instead of staying put. Don't dodge stuff unless you really have to, as it costs stamina. Blocking some attacks can make you take significantly less damage, and can even be imperative for certain dragon attacks, though not in that fight as far as I remember. Use a buff food or drink to boost your stats - they are dirt cheap and can usually be crafted easily enough, except for some purple or gold recipes. Not taking a jab at you, but these fight really are very easy. You should have been here for Doshia when you had to fight her during the first Fighter's Guild quest circa level 10.

The fireball phase did catch me off guard too, but just stay moving and use a self heal. If you need to pull your camera back more so you have a wider view of your character's surroundings.

Lol no need to "write it off".. Are you asking for help or sympathy by posting this?

It's not that hard once you understand the mechanics my friend. If you think this is hard.. You should have a look at VMA ;)

Did it with my tank main, Thunderbug set did a number on the adds, Crest of Cyrodiil set for a free 9K heal(didn't have to waste any potions or use green dragon blood, could focus on attacking) when successfully blocking every 5 seconds and Infernal guardian monster set because I expected there to be a fire circle around the dragon and thought I needed a ranged attack.

Before that I had Grothdar and Livewire sets along with Thunderbug on when going through the kwarma mine made short work of all the trash on the way to the Dragon.

Dragon fight took about 10 minutes if that, just had to doge the fireballs from the Dragon, other than that had no problems, just let Sai bring the health down with the horn and finish the Dragon off when it gets to the last few hundred thousand hit points.

About the closest I came to getting killed in the prologue was messing around with the grapple bow on the tutorial.

This is with a character that has completed the main quest and at least 2 guild quests. All gold armor and weapons...gold glyphs...high level potions/poisons...matched purple jewelry....etc. had the same issues with the Summerset end battle.

Sai can get the dragon weakened...but at the end he just stands there like a dufus...

Now if he'd just give me that damned horn....

Sort of puts a damper on my game....

That fight was strange for me. Even on my healer with destruction staff got the dragon's health to 3% quite quickly, in between the adds and blocking, then suddenly my dps was slowed down. The dragon was constantly shouting "Fus Ro Dah" until dead. Just staggered me the DPS suddenly was nerfed to only have it end very underwhelming. Non of it was challenging, and the fact Dragonguards died from these kwama swarms was a joke, even better the dragon uses them for protection.

Completing the main quest and guild quests or having good gear has nothing to do with learning game mechanics. You have to avoid circles on the ground, dodgeroll, or just heal yourself quickly. I think those fireball are harder for the average quester :D Even I died on my first try beause I never expect quest content to be challenging.

They do come at you pretty quickly. It is just short enough to keep a constant strafe to stay out of them. Stopping at all will get your hit by them.

This game has gone PvP??? Newer player interested in the Battlegrounds...etc.?

Despite using a shield...tri-pots...etc...my movement is being nerfed...can't dodge fast enough...can't stop trying to dodge in order to weaken the dragon. Stuck in **** city???

So I've yet to see a character make it through Summerset and now this part...

The game has changed over the last 3-4 years...my newer characters are just as powerful at level 7 as my orig level 50s...somebody messed up??? Changed the game but forgot original characters???

3-4 years ago a newer character would have issues getting from point A to point B...now they are as powerful as an original level 50?

Newer players joining for the battles...not interested in crafting...etc. Game is getting unbalanced....

@erliesc by this point several people have offered tips, which you haven't addressed, yet your latest post goes off on a tangent about aspects of the game that have nothing to do with your own thread.

Try to understand what's killing you and address it. What does your death recap say? What skills are killing you, and how much damage are they doing? If it's fire damage, are you a stage 4 vampire? Do you have your offensive and defensive champion points assigned? Are you using buff food or drinks? Do you have full 5-piece sets and/or a monster set? What weight and trait are your set pieces? You say you can't keep dodging, but have you tried just moving around and/or blocking? If you're still taking some damage, are you using any heals on top of your potions?

If this were a single player game, there might be a difficulty slider so each player could pick their sweet spot. But in an online, multiplayer game, you can't simply design around the extremes, whether on the low or the high side. Things shouldn't be impossible to achieve apart from a select few talented people, neither should they be so easy as not to provide any challenge at all for the vast majority of the player base. And a case could be made that ESO is already on the lower end of the scale, i.e. not providing much challenge.

I read your post and went to do the quest.

Seriously are you new, if your new, then that explains that.

And the fireball aoe, it tickled.

    Easiest dragon fight ever.

Play a bit more, youll get the hang of it.

This character uses a lightning and a fire stick only...plus 2 conjured allies. Gold level heavy armor/weapons/glyphs...set of 3 purple jewelry. High level potions/poisons.

I recently mildly redid stuff...went up the Gold coast and took out everything toe to toe (no attempt to avoid hits) that I could find. One enemy gave me a run for my bucks though.

Usually one of my strongest players. Think I was NERFED...

I think this is part of the problem (ESO not providing much challenge, that is) even in the context of this proloque quest: you have several stages of pure exploration, with no fight at all, then you get to the lair, where the only fights are with a bunch of kwama, a few at a time, and finally you get to the dragon, and you find yourself in a four phases fight that's not that hard in itself (my main problem with my middle level magicka character was running out of the red in the second half of the battle without dodging, as she ran out of stamina in no time) but it's totally unexpected so it feels like a hard wall you bang into in the flow of the quest.
I think that ZOS put too much emphasis on the grappling hook in the previous stages and forgot to build up the combat difficulty on your way toward the dragon encounter

Haha yes I did exactly that with my healer Templar. What fireballs. The real dragons punish you for melee range, this one doesn't seem to.

Is this a serious post or are you going for satire? The eso community in general whines for nerfs, wants everything handed to them and can’t handle confronting their l2p issues so this isn’t too surprising. The overworld and questing content provides zero challenge which creates this massive gap in player skill between the average and top end players. This is a shining example of that problem.
