Akatosh Door & Elsweyr Gate, Masterwork Bugged - Can't Interact without Deco Permissions

I found a topic before about the dragon door being non-interactive but none about the Elsweyr Gate, Masterwork. My friend owns one of the Akatosh doors and I own the Elsweyr Gate.

Allegedly the Akatosh door doesn't work for others with visitor permissions only because the house belongs to someone else. This is news to me because I can get the Akatosh door to work but only after entering and exiting Edit mode (I'm a decorator for their house).

Slightly disproving the "you can interact just fine if you're the owner, its not a bug", the same thing happens with the Elsweyr gate in my own house where it becomes non-interactive upon entering the house, but I can interact with it just find by entering and exiting Edit mode for my house. At first I thought it was just because it was slightly inset into a wall so I tested it without being inside any other objects or walls but when I freshly enter the house the results are the same. I can't open or shut my own gate.

This is highly frustrating because I got the Elsweyr gate to give select permissions to certain people for entering specific areas whom I can give Visitor permissions to, while not having other people be able to randomly wander in. Unfortunately this system doesn't work without giving Decorator privileges, which I don't want to have to give everyone just to have a little bit of control over door access, because that gives them privileges over being able to mess with everything.

If it supposedly "isn't" a bug that visitors can't interact with the doors, that sort of defeats the purpose of giving them Visitor permissions because another role already exists to disallow this - Limited Visitor.
