I think they took a step in the right direction with today's notes. I might actually keep playing now.

While the details aren't all laid out, it was certainly addressed.

"In a future patch during this PTS cycle, we will be increasing the total damage of any Damage over Time abilities that were adjusted in PTS v5.2.0 by approximately 20% to reduce situations where many of the abilities felt difficult to maintain outside of nanosecond perfect rotation. This means there will be an overall reduction in damage from DoT abilities of approximately 33% compared to what is currently on the Live megaservers.

Many passives and item sets related to Damage over Times will receive some adjustments to ensure their total power remains closer to their intended power budget."

Actually they’ve addressed sustain issues - mag and stam - plenty of times over several patches.

    *USE FREAKING HEAVY ATTACKS.*

That’s the primary mechanism, alongside recovery glyphs and sets of you so choose, to fine tune your sustain.

You are *NOT* intended to have your cake (manic button smashing light attack skill spamming rotations which also happen to yield relatively high DPS) and eat it to (also have great sustain).

You *have to* balance your build & rotation.

Get over parroting the “heavy attacks are, like, *sooo boooooringgggg* line you hear from “trendsetters”.

IMO, not being able to do anything because I’ve run out of juice is far more boringer.

Gotta give credit where credit is due, this patch is not bad, they even mentioned about balancing major vuln to avoid stacking necros
