Considering last changes over ranged CCs (range nerf to 22/15m), new istarus map for death matchs battle ground, new ald carac map for death matchs too, and eld angavar maps and also the shadow image's nerf to come alongside the stonefist changes, it appears that ZoS combat team doesnt want ranged pvp to be viable anymore.
right now with the new gapcloser rule being ranged is more and more teddious to play while being melee AoE ing is more and more easy and efficient.
Add to this statement that while "melee based" classes used to have more strengh/resists at melee range while being more vulnerable at range we can see that non melee classes (especially ,nb and sorcs) arent getting much to survive in melee/aoe range while having everything that is or can be ranged nerfed or underperforming compared to a melee use (grim focus' heal).
Sticking to "mobile" target, whatever classes has also become easier with u22 and u23. wont be harder in h24.
"supposed burst" classes have to build their combo in fights (bound armament/grim focus) while "supposed long lasting classes" can build their combos outside/beside of fights (warden's shield for ult, molten whip, venom skull) or even benefit from others dmg to increase their own while being able to do something else during fights (backlash).
While being tweaked over and over in a relatively nerfing way, Both Nightblades and Sorcerers are still pupolar not because they are strong but mostly because they have their Cloak (perhaps shadow image) and Streak existing. Nothing more.
I have strictly no hope that the ZoS Combat Team can evolve in a good way but it could happen anyway.
When saying you are working towards "class identity" maybe you guys at ZoS should start an official pool with a simple question: "why do you play X class" to players who actually do play the class you ask them about. Ask for a Short answer, the shorter the better. then listen/read and work around the main answer.
something better than that simulacre of listening you called class reps.
