If I did that, I would have to just stop playing entirely.

Playing without ESO+ would be the last straw, for me.

If I was already annoyed enough to cancel it, I would then (immediately) be annoyed enough to quit.

I ll see what actually hits live before i get to carried away, some of the things i hear coming out of pts are so stupid they may not hit live and if they do they'll be changed next patch.
In the meantime (if it hits live unchanged) I'll level toons and do overland, assuming i have my vma lightning staff (32 runs) by then and never have to set foot in it again, if anything makes me quit altogether it'll be the vma rng.

I can't even count how many times an mmorpg community has posted crap like this.

Flyff stayed online for several years AFTER their servers became an absolute ghost town.
(ever heard of ghost online? I doubt it. It stayed online for years with completely empty servers since close to launch)

It doesn't matter if half the population is gone or over half. If you can count more than 5 people online in any main zone at any given time, the game has an unforeseeable amount of time left.

This whole forum has turned into a circle-jerk of people getting off an each others rabid complaining. Do some of us a favor and skedaddle

I plan to not make any changes to my ESO+. We are part way though Zos implementing a new combat vision for the game which if done right would lead to smoother operation overall and less major changes to combat each update. I am here for the long haul so I do not play to take a short sighted view on the matter.

Its the second time I see someone here point out that FLYFF became a ghost town and was still online, well I got news for you and anyone else trying to make a matter of fact statement with this argument. EMPTY SERVER MAKES NO SIGNIFICANT REVENUE AND LAYOFFS OCCURR.

It's all a matter of Trial and Error dude, is ZOS/ESO perfect? No. But no one game or company is, someone will always have something negative to say about something. ZOS is constantly trying to fix things, change things, seeing what works and what doesn't work. Sure in the process things get broken and certain things become practically unplayable, but that's the world of MMO'S. You telling people to stop Subbing and buying stuff of the store is the equivalent to saying "Hey let's make it do the hard working employees that we are complaining about making this game broken, have no way of feeding their family and pasting their bills." Microtransactions are what ZOS uses to keep their employees paid and continue working. Is that simple. You don't like something then don't play the game. Trust me, I have five accounts across two platforms and my main account has been active since Beta and had over 1100 CP. I've seen the Good, The Bad and The Ugly with ESO and if I could go back in time and find a way to tell them to do something different; I would. But the world doesn't work that way. Life is filled with change, you either like it or you don't, but there's nothing you can do about it. That's what being an adult (assuming you are, of you even know anything about how Unions work) is about, so put your big boy pants on and just deal with it. Honestly ESO is at a rocky place right now, but I have huge faith in ZOS because I love the game and know the next few Quarterly Patches should make the game so much better. So dude! Give them a break or GTFO ESO.

I don't know what others will do. I am very seriously considering leaving the game, in which case I will certainly cancel my sub. I don't trust ZOS any more, and I think that these latest patch notes are a pretty clear sign that the combat team lacks even basic respect for their own playerbase, and treats us with disdain. I'm not going to support a company that acts so unacceptably, so unless they revert these changes and apologize for how crappy they treated the playerbase here, especially endgame players, this relationship probably isn't one that can be salvaged. Didn't think that my years in the game were gonna end like this, but I won't stay in a game when the developer completely has broken my trust in them.

For a lot of experienced players, ZOS crossed a hard and fast line that they knew better than to cross, but it's clear they value us so little that they don't care about the appropriateness of their actions or attitude towards us. So I may very well be gone unless ZOS starts holding itself accountable and gets its act together in the next month. And my ESO+ subscription will certainly be gone if I feel they've pushed me out of the game. I know that a lot of other experienced players feel this way, but I don't think there's a concerted group effort here. We've just all come to the same conclusion individually, that ZOS doesn't really have a solid plan forward and that they don't respect their own players. And so we each don't really trust them anymore. Are there enough of those individuals to force ZOS to eat some humble pie and get their act together before the patch goes live? I hope so, but I wouldn't count on it.

My sub has been cancelled since October last year when it was clear Zenimax gave actually zero *** about my region, willingly allowing Akamai to double my ping for no reason, forcing me and many other Oceanic players to use a VPN just to maintain the 250-300 ping we used to a year ago.

My sub will continue to be cancelled until at least that has been addressed, until I don't need a VPN to have the game be playable in even the most casual of content.

I would if 1. I thought it was an important enough point and 2. I thought they would actually care. I'm not so sure about #2 and right now #1 has not occurred for me. I am upset and disheartened by the changes they're making but I am trusting my guildies to figure out how it's not going to destroy our playtime and if they can't THEN I'll worry. If they start screwing with my houses, on the other hand...

I guess in a way I'm already doing that. I don't have ESO+ because I don't think it's worth it and other than Elsweyr they haven't sold anything I wanted to buy for months so I haven't bought anything.

Its nothing to do with the rest of the game though. I don't know if it's just because I'm a casual, primarily PvE player but I rarely run into the problems I keep hearing about. ESO certainly isn't the most stable game I've ever played but if I didn't keep hearing about the trouble other players have I wouldn't think it was any worse than average.

The main reason I don't spend nearly as much as I used to on this game is they switched to making 1/2 of all releases nothing but dungeons, and I don't do dungeons enough to justify buying more of them, especially not that often and they put most of the new crown store stuff in crates, which I also don't buy. I guess in a way it's good for me because it means I'm spending a lot less on the game, but going down to just 2 new releases a year which are actually relevant for me is disappointing.

Their main focus is profit. So, the crown store is their main focus. Items they can sell to players that dont care about the direction or performance of the game. Players who only care about berries, playing house, and dress up.

After thousands of hours playing this game over the last five years, this update is not even the worst update.

ESO Plus renews for 1 year in 3 months, and I am not seeing a reason in this update to change that.

Can't be accommodating, I guess.

Haven't spent a dime on this game since January, skipped the new chapter and let my + sub go about 3 months ago. It's not worth it and I won't be renewing unless the devs can show some competence and actually fix their half-busted game. Cyrodiil performance has been garbage for a long time and pve zones have a lot of the same issues plus new ones with every content release. The broken group-finder and ridiculous queue times have also been a big factor. Not to mention the BG's matchmaker that is a complete joke. There's so many bugs that players have been reporting and complaining about for years that have just been ignored or instated as "features". It doesn't get much lazier than that and I will not support it.

Many changes they've made in the name of balance have left me scratching my head as well. I think it was the patch that included the racial nerfs that finally pushed me over the edge, the Bosmer and Argonian changes especially. That one Bosmer thread was like 80-90 pages and they just swept it under the rug. I've never seen a company show so much disdain toward it's customers before. There's also the CP cut-off with absolutely no solution in sight, yet they just keep throwing OP BiS sets into the fray.

Meanwhile they've come up with all kinds of new ways to leech money off of susceptible players with poor self control. They only seem interested in catering to the no-lifer, shopaholic types. Everything in the frown store is insanely over-priced, loot crates are and always will be despicable, selling skill points and now entire skill-lines is definitely toeing the line of p2w. More attention and resources seem to be going toward this trash than the game itself and to endorse it by giving them more money is absolutely out of the question for me.
