Mounts

I started to realize after blowing so much on this game that buying mounts in this game is completely stupid! Reason being is you buy crown crates to get these said special mounts, and unfortunately if this a new character, you have to then level up the mount speed, you can go the long and steady route and go to the stable master or once again go buy mount upgrades in the crown store. Honestly they should allow mounts to be completely maxed out if you have already had a character with a max mount. And even with the new changes currently stated in the PTS if it goes live I believe this should be GIVEN to everyone.

I agree completely but think the usual logic is that if ZOS profit from something, they're less likely to change it.

Most definitely they won't do this, but constantly having to level a mount in this game is ridiculous.

Believe it or not it use to be worse at launch. The level ups were tied to each individual horse that each character had, which meant you had to level all 3 traits for every single mount you wanted to use.

They later changed to to be "riding skill" instead of "horse skill".

Nevertheless I agree that there should be a way to expediate the process without the store if you are a ESO+ subscriber. Such as twice as many upgrades per 20 hours (so 2 instead of one).

They sell this in the crown store and you do not have to have a mount already maxed out to take advantage of it.

Further, you do not have to buy mounts from the cash shop. You can obtain mounts in game. Also, if you are spending tons on crates to get mounts then buying the training should not be that big of a deal as it is much cheaper than the average number of crate required to get a specific mount one wants.

Good thing I leveled up mount speed in all my alts as I was playing the game.

    .

Just looked through the store at the munts and tiding skills. You cannot buy a maxed out mount with a single purchase. You need to purchase 5 sets of the 10 books for each part to get the max mount at 1k crowns per pack. Thus 15k crowns to have a max horse, oh please that is way out line as that is more that the purchase of a notable house that ALL your characters get to enjoy.

It is easy enough and clicking the items in your inventory goes pretty fast. I have done it on the PTS. We can split hairs on the design, we can complain about the costs, but it is there.

I get that I played since launch. But I'm talking about Now!

You do realize I'm talking about mounts in general and just gave you one specific point of what I originally stated. It should be cross character period.

Exactly! I'm not sure what the other guy was thinking about before he even posted.

ZoS is selling you a way to end the grind process.
Meanwhile they add more grindy mechanics.
Adding inconvinience should bring them more money.
at least that's what they think.
