My crown seller either died, stopped playing, or scammed me.. either way is there anything I can do?

He was my regular seller for like a year and I trusted him completely, he'd often send me the stuff I wanted even when I didn't quite have enough gold yet.

One day he just stopped logging in. (still on my friends list tho). but unfortunately there was almost 1mil gold of mine in the mail to him. It hasn't auto- returned or anything. Any way to get it back?

@NeillMcAttack Yeah it's been 2-3 months. If he pocketed it, that means he's been logging in appearing offline for all that time, and hasn't removed me from the friends list lol

Even though it won't help you, I would mention a useful thing. I think ESO friend's list orders people by login time by default. So you could estimate when he was online last time compared to other friends in your list (if you remember when you saw them last time)

You might as well hover your mouse cursor over the head icon at the left side and it tells you when player has logged in last time.

Just a note that they could've been banned, too.

Either way, put in a ticket to support.

@reoskit Thx, took some figuring out but I just did that. Filed it under item issue -> missing item, hope that's correct.

@NoTimeToWait Thanks for the tip, but as the other person said, it says if you just hover over the icon. '3 months ago' was his last login.

You can also directly send a ticket it's under "ask for help". Usually support will send you an automated mail, and when you answer it, you will talk to a person, takes about a day or so. It's better this way, than with regular tickets.
Started in 2016. 13 chars and I still haven't finished the mainquest.

You kept him in your friends list and he put you on the ignore list. Doesn't have to remove you from it.

When a player is banned they are completely removed from the game. Had a player in my guild one day and just "gone" the next. He was completely erased.

Never joined the guild, never left the guild, never logged in...nada. He was "erased".

Turns out he was banned (he told us in Discord but not what he was banned for).

You know you can log as "offline" and the "offline days" keep adding up until you put yourself back in "online" mode, so if someone log in and put themself in offline mode and keep it this way for a year, it the friendlist, the "last loggin will as a year ago

    Sorry double post

Forgot to add, so since it's probably that, why are you trying to get back your gold if he probably took it and just want to play with some privacy

I do not believe it works that way. If you remove someone from your friends list, you are removed from theirs. Ignoring someone automatically removes them from from your friends list.

Just an FYI if there's not a chat log of the transaction, that you took screenshots of, support will be very unhelpful.

@PizzaCat82 I think you're right, I haven't received a reply from support yet 1 week later. But there's no way to check sent in-game mail so its impossible for me to even provide proof. I assumed they could check internally or something and see that I sent gold but didn't receive anything.

    Looks like I'm down almost 1mil :(
