It would bring more life to the world if a select few mobs had different mechanics.

zombies are super lackluster in this game. I usually dont notice that they are zombies until I read their name text "zombie". "Oh, it's a zombie. thought it was just another generic hostile npc.".

I'd like some more variety to mobs in general, but I fear that would collide with zos's streamlining strategy for the game.

    More variety to monsters!

Greater resistances to certain damage types.
Larger aggro radius for small monsters that can gang up.
Better AI like run out of AOE dots.

Give foes greater detection range? Only if player characters get greater engage range than a piddly 28M as the 'standard' for ranged skills.

It's for zombies only. So if you run through a graveyard you get 12 zombies noticing you instead of 1. They easy anyway. Mean you have to approach different enemies differently.

Why Zombies?Seems like something a bit more intelligent would be more likely to notice you, rather something that doesn't have a functioning brain.

Zombies shouldn't notice you until you're right under their noses.

    They're dead.

No. They shamble about. Hunters of great prowess, they are not.

Depends. Are we looking for more like The Walking Dead type, or more like the Romero type?

Well, I suppose archers and sentries should have better eyesight than zombies.
But honestly, overworld has been nerfed so hard that fighting anything feels meaningless and seeing "in combat" message is more annoying than exciting. Oh great, now I can't pick that node/summon my mount. :D

Not zombies but I would like it if elemental resistance was more prevalent. Can’t fight everything with fire.

One game I played if you used the wrong element (like fighting an ice wraith with an ice staff) it actually healed the mob. We don’t have to go that far but just like “does less damage if fighting with the same element”.

Zombies are different. They have a puke poison attack. They nerfed it, because "back then" you had to avoid it due to high damage. But the fact remains that zombies are different.

And, btw, if they had a larger aggro range it would be to easy to farm them.

Nothing is wrong with zombies. Just their damage is to low. Like most NPC have to low damage.

I don't know. Let's go ask that zombie over there munching on someone's dismembered arm.

    "......uhhhnn......uuuhhhhhaaannnnng.......nnng...nnnnnuuuuunnhhhh.....aaaaahhhuuuuaaaa."

Huh....I guess I'm gonna go with no. In fact, given that this guy's left eyeball just fell out and rolled under the couch, it might actually make more sense for the detection radius to be smaller.

We just need resistances for some mob types. Like fire atros should have at least 50% resist to fire damage
    need more dps
