Wouldn't queuing up and not forcing people to wait on you be the "nice" thing to do? It seems that the person that queued up unprepared is 100% at fault here.
I agree with that! But when people make mistakes, do you believe they should be crucified?
I only asked for a short while to grab the pledge. I think that it's rather callous to outright kick them when they have the manners and politeness to give them a headsup.
What does it have to do with crucifixion?! It is not like you can't queue up anymore for the day...
Hopefully you learned from your mistake and next time you enter dungeon finder, that's with today's pledges.
Calling it a crucifixion is what we call an exageration, or hyperbole. It is meant to make a point that which I'm not entirely sure you understood...
Hopefully, people will also be a little more patient in the future. I don't believe I made a grand mistake, as it was a matter of a minute, or maybe two, so I will continue my practice of keeping the old pledges saved, in case I get them when I queue for a random dungeon for the XP.
@lordrichter
Yes, it appears that they did. They knew it was a mistake, but they mistook the magnitude of it because they're assigning their own value to another's time. They go on to say how they will continue. It's an indefensible practice.
Kicking may or may not have been the best solution. I don't blame the group, but I wouldn't have kicked them. As it has been brought up, it's only a matter of minutes, right? So there should be no issue with us starting without the tank. If they see a blue portal, it took too long.

This.
It's clearly OP fault.
Don't queue if you're not prepared, so you don't wast other people's time.
You know, common sens.
The only one who is not "nice" in this situation is the OP.
Work on yourself before blaming other.
Same common sens as not queued for DLC vet if you can't achieve requirement, no matter the role.
The kind of common sens people on this game seem to lake.
In reality an ocean.

It's the case a high level player that pushed a burden on their team and did so knowingly. They admitted that they understood this and said that they would continue. Quite frankly it is inconsiderate.
... but did they know that?

Yes (CP).
I haven’t continued to follow this thread but felt like sharing a counterpoint from my experience this weekend: I queued for a random dungeon and told the group that I was new (only my second time ever) and one of the members especially was very helpful in pointing out chests and other loot, and rightly insisted we kick the fake tank (although I was reluctant to judge anyone when I am so new myself). Then, of all things, I disconnected! It took a few tries before I was able to reconnect, probably several minutes, and I would not have blamed the group if they’d kicked me or completed it without me and yet they were waiting for me at the final boss!
