I'm surprised by how crowded the PvE maps are lately even at 3AM PDT-- but I'm not doing the event either, so...yeah

You must not play any real team sports irl then. Certainly nothing like that occurs there

You can just do one of the IC dungeons on normal each day. No PVP or crowns required to get tickets

Hey, friend!

No thanks! My only reason to venture into PvP of late has been to get lorebooks, and I've gotten them all. I typically find PvP in this game far more frustrating than fun, so I avoid it. I did step into IC twoish days ago to try to kill a boss for the tickets, though. Suffice it to say, it's not something I wish to do again during this event. I'd rather queue up for the dungeons.

I know that @Katahdin - however, I don't find dungeons fun either. I don't mind delves, as during the events they're pretty fast to get through, but previous MMOs burned me out good on things like dungeons and group content. And with satellite high ping, I'd just be getting carried, which isn't a great thing either.

I've already bought the tickets and the third berry. Done deal. I do wish I knew what the event was going to be for the 4th berry though.... and next quarter I'll be fine for the last set of berries with the events.

A lot of people didnt seem to understand that the dungeons could be done for them which is why I posted it.

Honestly if you were in one of my guilds, I'd join a group to help you get the tickets without having to buy them. I can't see why anyone wouldnt help a friend/guild mate do that considering your ping issue. One if my guilds has people running them every day.

Well.... I'm a total loss really - I don't do guilds either! Also too burned on that. I'm in this game for the lore and the quests and exploring - that's about it. Love the world, the zones, the TES vibe, and that I can solo quest and craft to my heart's content. Love the mounts (at least many of them though the glowy Apex set give me the icks), the non-combat pets, and the "look" of the characters and gear.

But thanks for being kind! I always enjoy your posts.

You're right, pvp brings out the worst in people. It's full of trolls, griefers, zerglings, rage whisperer and other toxic people.
I hate them as much as you do.

Nope. Pvp can thrive or die on their own population. I don't care and I'm not rewarding the population spouting 'your pve tears are delicious' players by setting foot in their zone.

But ... but ... it's so exciting! I actually love to have to look over my virtual shoulder all the time. Besides, it looks like this event is pretty doable without running into HunterKillerDrones very often.
And even if you are killed - so what? You get a dent in your armor and lose some Tel Var stones.
As I hardly ever move out far from my sewer entrance, it's not a huge setback for me if you kill me. I get a free port to the bank area and you enjoy your 10 TelVar.

Nope. Even back in highschool, when I had a choice in gym classes, I picked the individual activities (tennis, archery, running, weight lifting). And that was back in the more-laid-back 80's, before "hypercompetitive" became so widespread. Well, and before the anonymity of the internet made being a @!$^&$ a form of entertainment.

I can respect not wanting to PvP because you simply don't like that kind of content. I do a mixture of both. What I don't understand is this fear of dying in PvP or receiving hate whispers. As for the latter, I can count on one hand how many hate whispers I've received in my years of playing. The best way to deal with it is to ignore it. As for the former, why do you not have a problem dying to a scripted boss fight but seemingly need therapy when thinking about dying in PvP?

Hate whispers? Ignore it.

In real team sports the teams are generally kept even. You don't have 10 vs 1 - because that would make for a pretty stupid game. So until PvPers stop teaming up against others unfairly (which will happen when hell freezes over) any comparison to real team sports isn't going to work.

In real team sports the teams are generally kept even. You don't have 10 vs 1 - because that would make for a pretty stupid game. So until PvPers stop teaming up against others unfairly (which will happen when hell freezes over) any comparison to real team sports isn't going to work.
