It's your money, but I disagree with paying for carries. The reasoning behind this philosophy of mine is that I feel I will get there myself one day, and there are so many guilds out there that walk you through vet content, help you prepare, and join you in the fight when you are ready. I considered it myself at one point in time (paying for a carry through hard content), and decided against it. At the time, I didn't want to cheat myself out of the sense of accomplishment when I finally completed a hard vet dungeon, arena or trial. For almost all vet content (with the exception of some trials, new DLC, and I think BRP vet), I have since completed them. It was well worth waiting/preparing for.

I don't know i really don't. When i had a few 100k it was to have enough to cover the golden each weekend. Then i got more and decided to cut back on daily writs effort and farming etc - enjoy the quality play time more. But i seem to keep hoarding that gold, Tel Var too - mainly just in case.

I think as per above its in case i need a ton of gear post a patch i can buy it. Also nice to help new players out, buy em a horse etc.

Which the game denoted new players better. Many are just rolling alts lol

Nothing, I love Snug Pod! It is one of the cheapest and closest houses located near the Crafting Writ/Master writ vendor drop- off points (Gardner House in Stormhaven, Sugar Bowl in Elswyr also qualify- except no master-writ vendor in Elswyr). I exiled my dogs to the outside. Now it smells like fine Wood-elven cooking, which is a cyclical smell...cooked wood elf, fine wood elf cooking, cooked wood elf. You know what I mean! Trees rule!

Your story is similar to mine. At the time of this writing, each of my 18 NA pc toons carries 200k gold (a hard floor for my sometimes excessive spending). My bank balance varies from 0-400k on any given day. If I have finished a lot of surveys, I sell the surplus mats (keep a healthy amount for future upgrades) and redistribute the wealth among my characters. My goal is to eventually have each carry 1 mil gold.

Golden Vendor on the rare occasions they have something I want. Sometimes gear for a specific build I want to try. Occasionally motifs so that I can complete Master Writs.

I have tons of writ vouchers and have yet to spend any. I might get the ebony armor motifs, but not sure why. Mainly because there is nothing else I want. Each guild I belong to has just about everything I need already. I donated a lot of writs to the one I usually use so they could get the equipment. If I ever feel the need for very high end food, there are some ingredients there, but it seems like a waste as I can easily get by without it. I don't use the experience scrolls that I have, so I don't want them. I have 5 characters at level 50 in all the crafts and all the traits.

I really don't understand the draw for furnishing things. I think that some of the furnished homes I have seen are quite nice, but I spend maybe 5 minutes a week in a house and that is to pull stuff from storage chests or put stuff in. If I am going to sit around the house and look at furniture, I will do it in my own with a beer in my hand...

A much larger house x however many I don't have yet, AND furnishing mats, but also...I'm just tired of not having enough gold to buy whatever really awesome rare deal I happen to see flying by in zone chat. It broke my heart that I wasn't able to buy the firefly pet that someone was selling for 2 mil a few months ago. I don't want to miss more things like that, so I'm saving.

Two obvious categories:
-- Housing and furnishing can consume huge amounts of gold.
-- I don't know whether it's possible to spend 10K per hour on consumables right now, but I can imagine it becoming a multiple of that with inflation. So it's nice to have a large cushion against that in case I ever get serious about endgame.

Nominally a much larger house, but that's really just an excuse to save money. I'm trying not to dribble it out on small things, like furnishing plans I'd only use once.

I actually prefer to live in the smaller houses, as you can achieve a better level of clutter in those.

I don't really buy much I really just love to stack gold. I'm very active in a large trader guild (reapers of death-NA) and primarily just sell hand farmed mats. My gold usually goes to upgrading gear. I'm a donator to my trading guild as well.
