Im not mad i lost. im just angry at the fact that someone in zennimax is making OP skills probably to benefit themselves. Getting rooted throughout the whole fight because you damaged your aponent is just broken. And the guy that i fought even told me "the class right now is retardedly broken" and he told me the only way i can play my stamplar in cyro is if i change it to mag. You guys really need to double check these changes before putting them out.

I like the title of your thread :)

Such a vivid description. Almost poetic.

Had some bouts with a Magplar in IC today while on my StamSorc. They've become almost as annoying as those "Cloak > Draining Shot > Cloak" NBs, except they can actually kill you. Endless snare and immobilised every 5 seconds or so. Let's not forget about Toppling Charge :)

If you haven't switched to a "Poison Injection - Dizzying Swing - Onslaught" Heavy Armor build, I recommend you do so. I could easily burst him down from 100 to 0 when he overextended his offense.

Come to think of it, I don't think I've seen a Stamina build running anything different this patch lol. Some are using Soul Trap for extra cheese though. It's rather funny, it's become a game of who "Onslaughts" the other first.

The title made me lol irl because it’s so relatable. I agree though the immobilize on Living Dark needs to go. You waste so much resources on it and you’re stuck casting snare removal after every direct damage attack. Mostly I’ve just started treating Living Dark users like I do Stamblades who just cloak away every few seconds. That is just walk away if it’s clear they don’t really want to fight and would rather just hid being their respective skill.

Working as intended, probably, given the Dev comment on the patch notes about it:

"The previous iteration of Eclipse was originally meant to be a tool to disincentivize your target from continuously attacking, and instead back off or remove the effect. Due to the effect being able to be removed through CC break, it lead to very binary performance situations. This new functionality is meant to retain the idea to punish the target from continuously attacking, but with less polarizing gameplay elements for both sides. We also wanted the ability to be used in both PvE and PvP, so we've removed the pseudo crowd control element it once operated from."

It's cute how you expect for this slight tweak. Zos doesn't do things that way my friend. Zos will read your post and gut the entire class, until there's nothing left of it, then call it balance changes.

Guess that explains why a few repeat customers, had me make them Legendary heavy armor Impen set pieces recently, they even had all the mats ready.

Oh well so much for an end to the tanky builds everyone was hoping for.

The new root is aids. Was playing for a bit last night and was wondering why I was getting rooted on fn cooldown. If you think it's bad on a stam toon try getting rooted on cooldown on a magblade. Fn rip.

I don't use Eclipse. But why is giving Templar a snare "OP" yet it's fine when so many other classes have them? Dragon Knights for example love to stun and snare you simultaneously.

I would prefer all stuns and snares just removed from PvP all together. But so long as they are in the game - I fail to see why giving Templar one is somehow "OP" yet it's just fine that other classes have them.

This was easily predictable when the change went up on PTS and there was lots of feedback warning the devs about it, but it went live anyway and here we are.

I'm so down on this and other changes that I haven't played in a week. So far I have no desire to come back. This is after playing almost daily since console launch, with breaks only for vacations and work travel.

Not snare or stun i could careless... Its IMMOBALIZE. Everytime i hit a magplar i automatically get rooted. Even my buddy thats testing it right now says hes op 3 ppl could kill him cuz theyre consistantly rooted
