This is an very old bug as in more than two yearsredgreensunset wrote: »Have had a weird issue where the griund texture in front of me suddenly doesn't load and my toon keeps running in place at the edge between rendered and non-rendered ground until the ground in front decides it wants to render. Which can take anywhere from 10 seconds to over nearly three minutes. Pnlylace it happens is Elsweyr, Rimmen is particualrly5bad. But I'm not sure it has anything to do with population as this happens at off hours as well as prime time. And it only began with the most recent update which caused all rendering times to grow exponentially, particularly right after loading an area.

Lots of things other than ZOS’ code and equipment can cause lag. The biggest one that I’ve noticed is addons. Whenever there’s a new patch, I usually disable my addons until the authors put out updates, just because I’ve had so many performance problems that end up being outdated addons. As others have said, ymmv, but the fact that some people have terrible performance issues and others don’t leads me to believe that there’s more at issue here than the game’s spaghetti code.

I think it was just Moongrave Fane. Next when I ran Maarselok I didn't have any lag, so maybe Moongrave was just resource heavy for being so detailed a world space.
I just find it odd how so many on the forum have such good performance.
Especially when streamers, some on the stream team themselves who were tasked with being super positive about the game and who were given that title to show off ESO in it's best light, have had lag and performance issues. These people have top of the line rigs with fibre op connections, and they still have issues.
Not saying I dont believe, just saying it's so very strange the people "employed" to show the performance of the game have had more of the experience of the "complainers".
Meh

You can't upgrade a One X until Scarlet comes out next year.
