Since the patch my daily writs rewards have been unsatisfied.

Before the new patch every day I would get at least a golden material, most of the time a survey map and sometimes a Master Writ (mostly jewel LOL). So at the end of the week, I would get 3-5 master writs.

Now since the update and changes to the jewel writ daily, I never saw a chromium grain again, most of the time is the green/blue grain and rarely (2 times) a purple one and now the master writ jewelry never saw one again. I got 3 survey map and I think I got one master writ (enchanting) if I'm not mistaken.

And in the last 3 days, I got 0 golden mats, 0 survey maps, and 0 master writs. I even change the location of doing the writs today and still nothing.
And I'm finding really weird, I even checked my skills and everything is on max mas I'm doing the daily writs with the high-end mats.
Woodworking I have everything except nirnhoned, jewel only missing triune (too expensive), tailoring and blacksmithing is 7-8 trait per piece, enchanting, alchemy and cooking also at skill 50.

I even though of resetting my skill points to see if it would work.

You guys think is just bad luck? I know is RNG but for almost 2 weeks? I think something is weird

    Yes.

I've got several chromium grains since the patch and today even a full plating.

The drop rate seems to be higher now.

How many characters are you doing writs on each day?

I do writs on 18 characters every day, Will admit Chromium drop rate does seem a tiny bit down or I have just been having some bad RNG it happens.

I would usually get enough chromium for 4 and a bit plating's every week, now its seems to be down to 3 and a bit each week on average so far.

Got enough plating's for 7 Zircon plating's(probably where my RNG luck went) this week and 9 Iridium plating's and next to no Green plating's, glad about the lack of green grains.

(Made certain not to decon any rings this week either, so as not to contaminate the results, been leaving the rings in my house storage till the next week. And I sell all my platinum dust so I can't speak for any refinement results only the drops from the writ reward boxes.)

So the sales from the purple and blue plating's have more than made up for my lost profits.

A few blue master writs, haven't had any purple and gold ones at all, not that I overly care I just sell the materials unless I feel like upgrading some of my own jewelry.

Still too early to really tell at this point though not enough data and I lack the long term patience to collect it, so long as my profits are good I am happy.

I've been tracking daily writ drops for 9 months now, resetting at the patch release, and recording the results. I've noticed no major change in drop rates.

Eight chars - five above CP160 and three below - all maxed out jewellery. Have received 5-6 blue master writs, 2-3 purple and a load of green, blue and purple grains. Received a few, gold grains - not sure how many - 5-6 I think.

Gold mats returns on the other writs have been poor and sporadic. They were like that before.

The blue and purple jewellery writs are a nice earner. Received a couple of purples for around 200 voucher rewards. Costs about 75k to carry them out...unless they require swift or triune traits. Latter add another 12-15k to the cost. Infused adds about 3k to the cost.

Glad the blue and purple grains are dropping as writ rewards. Otherwise, the price might have jumped - the voucher returns, to cost ratio, of most of these writs is quite good. Gold jewellery writs still not worth it imho.

If you've gotten any swift jewelry master writs, report it to ZoS, it's a bug, they're supposed to be out of the loot table now.

I didn't know that so thanks for the heads up.

I've had one triune-based writ so I assumed swift was also a possibility.

    And I bought a piece of gilded wax in case I got a swift-based writ...what a waste...sigh...

it's worth doing at least 1 gold voucher if for nothing else than to get the achievement+ the gold dye unlock for crafting jewelry and golding it out.

plus, there are a few of them out there that reward like 400+ vouchers, so you can get some of the money back by selling voucher mats, or in my case i can pick up some furniture blueprints (im a huge fan of house decorating).

The new Gold JC master writs are worth between 550-666 vouchers now. They're borderline worth doing now, even not going for the dye

    very true.
i'd say give the market some time, let the amount of grains+platings increase and drop the price so they are worth doing.

Yup, the changes to all levels of grains dropping, did not appear to change the chromium grain chance to change at all. Add in that you can get the occasional double drop, and rarely a plating, they've done nothing but increase the overall amount of chromium that drops, so that should cause prices to come down!

The things one learns on this forum. Seriously, I didn't know about the gold dye unlock. I did a couple of gold writs (jewellery writs) under the old system.

I like the housing thing too. In fact, I'm in a dedicated housing guild. I've spent...no...it's too painful to think about...a LOT of gold on housing. I'm joking - I've no regrets about it at all. Spent well into six figures for Ayleid stele alone.

i have some addons that checks the average selling price for items (like via TTC, or items that have beeb sold via my guilds) and i've noticed that the price of grains is slowly falling. it's not drastic by any means, but they'll be at a reasonable level in a couple months or so.
