Destro clench is useless for PVP

    Streak stun works great. Be a man, get close enough to let them touch you :wink:

    Great! So long as magicka costs and damage is increased to match melee abilities. :) If we're supposed to play close in, those penalties are outdated.

    While Draining shot deals more damage, has heal attached and 7 meters greater range... "Standardisation" by ZOS.

    I hate destro staff, it has nothing to offer in PvP now. Why can't magicka get some new weapon?

    I don't know if I understand the word "standardization" correctly. They said that their skill audit aldo specificaly targeted long range CCs.

    Well, seems pretty standardized to me:
    Javelin 28m, 3780 cost,
    Scatter Shot 22m, 3213 cost, the highest damage out of the three
    Destruction Clench 15m range, 2700 cost, the lowest damage out of the three,

    All three skills have the same functionality. There is nothing standardized about them except that. I cannot evend find a weight pattern for cost VS damage VS range, there doesn't seem to be a rule in that. We can definitely say that standardization has opposite meaning for ZoS than for us.

    The damage of clench is horrible. Its like 1/3 of Crushing shock. Just for a stun with 15m range you have to use fire staff.
    Fire staff is the worst if you animation cancel due to how long the light attack animation takes. Feels clunky. Lighting staff is best for animation cancelling.

    But now, shock clench is now AOE ability. Its not bad in some situations for pve for attacks mobs but horrible single target spamable.

    I have resorted to using defensive rune as primary stun. Doesn't help another bar slot taken up by entropy now that major sorcery was removed from power surge. But have to admit entropy does a lot of damage.

    Everyone ran the range destro knockback as a spammable, it was always gonna get nerfed, blame the people who over ran it!

    If something becomes the only choice then its gonna get nerfed, it should never have been a spammable.

    Its utility not dmg skill.
    If you use it for dmg/on sorc/ then you "sorc" wrong. 15m range for utility skill is more than enough.
    Whats next ? 28m travel for Bolt Escape ?

    Removing the stun from Destro Reach was a great change. Stunning from 41 meters made it incredibly punishing to close the distance with melee characters.

    Really? For whom? Blind people? Cause I can't see anyone else whining for a skill that has such a long travel time. A well timed block is all you need. Can't time it right? Use a potion. Even if you use gap closer, you can block while using it.
    Destro Clench was the best CC to catch a foe who is running away or to punish inexperienced, unskilled stamina builds that try to close the gap. Now it is borderline useless.

    You you simply want to your max range 2 shot burst sorc also a precious stun.

    So you want casters to spam dmg/and stun skill from 28 yards?

    it used to be great for knocking enemies through the grates on top of the keeps...

    I miss watching folks fall to their death like that...occasionally a tank would hit the ground and be able to not only survive, but, scramble back inside the keep...

    Knocking enemies from the bridge is/was fun too. :) Not sure it's available now with close-combat range skill. It had to be a surprise to work.

    oh my goodness...i completely forgot about the alessia bridge fights...i picked the covenant alliance to play on - so, haven't visited the bridge in months...i kind of miss bridge fights...as much as i tried - never had the pleasure of sending someone flying over the edge in to the water...

    there should be an achievement for that :)

    Well it was fun helping people get their slaughtered achievement by knocking them off the bridge. ;) .
