Here is some suggestions i have to increase the popularity and convenience of Imperial City AvA zone; short disclaimer i have been playing IC since it came out and my major source of gold is selling telvar items etc.
Mobs in the city zone should be neutral,unless you attack them they shouldn't pursue you throught out the city and ranged mobs shouldn't attack you from walls either.This would be a great convenience change since navigating the city on foot or chasing enemy players is just plain out annoying due to mobs getting in the way or not letting you get out of combat etc.
Make zone bosses harder to kill.Basically they can be easily soloed at the moment,and you can easily disengage the fight when you see enemy players aswell.This doesn't feel risky enough for the concept of IC entirely,its all more risk more reward.They should also deal more damage in my opinion and chase the last player attacked it.
You can at the moment bail out of IC easily by queue to a PvP campaign,even while fighting.When i chase someone with obviously lots of telvar on them,they just queue to a campaign and kite me while waiting on it,and if you choose a low pop campaign its instant anyway.this is an abusive method and you don't even need to use sigils with this tactic existing anyway.
Flipping zone flags should be faster,but with a cooldown.Once you flip a flag for your alliance,you shouldn't be allowed to flip another in a designated time period.So it actually takes effort to stack up the telvar bonus from flags,and makes it so that is protected for at least a small window.Because even if you dominate the PvP aspect of flipping flags some no job guy can flip them back once you leave a zone.It just feels real cheap to me.
Respawn on a zone your alliance owns should also have a cooldown.Right now as long as you got the flag you can just basically spam your body to enemy and annoy the *** out of them.This ain't fun to play agaisnt,i don't feel anything but annoyance when someone i have beaten comes for the second round before i regen my resources lol.
For sewers,there should be more rewards for navigating sewers.It used to be quite good for griding XP but there are better places right now for it,and city section is better for farming telvar.Sewers doesn't have many options going for it, and Molag fight itself isnt very rewarding either.I have been farming Molag since Orsinium came out,and i only had 2 drops for the skin,one before it wasnt a runebox and one after.
Im open to discussion about my points and ideas,but please have some insights on the issue beforehand.I love IC and want to see more activity on it,but people 'saying telvar is risk/reward anyway why you cry pleb' has obviously no idea what is it like.
