Serously it was fun to use, I know some people used it to pile on some level of ridicule but we are all adults, it really was not that offensive and alot of posts deserve credit for showing a good natured humor.

Given the amount of serial trolls here, there was a reason they took it away. No thanks.

There needs to be a polite way to disagree with someone. Without LOL that is impossible. Many use insightful, but that is even more trollish than LOL.

I prefer insightful to mean that a poster showed good sense figuring something out or making a clear/concise/polite argument.

We need not just the LOL button back, for crediting funny posts (of which there are many), but also a disagree button. Apart from writing an (often offensive) disagreement post, there is no other way to simply express....disagree. Often people wish to disagree with another player’s opinion, without necessarily wanting to write a specific post discussing the whole issue.

That would also go towards stopping the misuse of ‘insightful’, which is currently used in a derogatory manner as much as the way it is intended.

It would be nice if there were some way for [snip] to convey that they disagree with the content of a post created by another forum member. None of us enjoy reading their attempts at forming cohesive thoughts and then misspelling every other word as they make the transition from thought to reply.

A "disagree" or a negative metric doesn't serve anyone good other than making the person who clicked it feel better.

If you disagree with something enough to interact with it, give your reasoning. A drive by agree doesn't need a reason why you agree, you are just reinforcing the point being made. If you want to make a reason for agreeing thats fine, but its not needed.

Disagreement for the sake of disagreement is not healthy, and with the level of ad hominem on this forum already, that is going to turn into a troll fest very, very fast.
Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

Inshgtful is used to troll so I guess we get rid of that too?

Then awsome would be used to troll next so let us just remove all the options.

At least LoL is a little more honest than using insightful to troll.

From what I've seen of behavior on this forum I very much doubt that. I'd rather this subsegment of people were not further enabled, they're a big enough nuisance as it is.

If insightful is used by some to troll it’s clearly to a significantly lesser degree. Regardless you are clearly just grasping at straws.

But your comments are very much irrelevant to what you quoted as I was merely pointing out that OP thinks the trolling was fine.

I am the OP and I did not say it was fine. I intimated the level of trolling compared to the proper use of LoL (its intended use) was not unexpected or excessive.

How is it you think you know what I think outside of what I write? A bit presumptuous are we? Feel free to read between the lines but not to place words in my mouth or ascribe intent without basis.
