Soul Splitting Trap

It now hits 6 targets, albeit with a small range. Why isn’t this considered a “rule breaker” since its now an AoE ability that has the damage of a single target DoT?

The dots were literally just homogenised via a standard rule set and it seems like the very first patch breaks the rule. In PvP it’s not too big a deal I imagine but in PvE tanks stack mobs close together so hitting 6 targets won’t be hard.

Don’t get me wrong I’m all for the buff but I can’t understand the inconsistency.

    probably because 5 mobs killed via this method is a full restore, 6 is overkill, anything above that is immortality mode for a tank as most people cant even dispel if they aren't a templar or healer with purge

    You speak about wrong morph. Consuming trap restores the resources and it was 2 targets ability now lowered down to 1 enemy.

    Am also confused about this. Is it to make sure we drop our class AoE skills for good?

    In general, a bit of insight into the illustrious new ruleset would sure be welcome.

    It’s from small scale pvp whiners. They want to be able to take on 20 times their size groups in pvp so were handed a bunch of goodies.

    Most of the aoe caps have been removed from abilities and Springs was changed. Now stacking in pvp is a death sentence, so bye bye ball groups.

    In pve boss dps is what most people care about so letting aoes run wild isn’t really an issue.
    Looking for any guildies I used to play with:

    PRX and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab
    Or anyone else I used to play games with in guilds I’ve forgotten

    Yes, Soul Trap was changed for PvP. What an insightful friggin comment.

    Maybe the idea is the smaller the AOE the more Intense it can be. For tactical play. Look at Meteor.
