I see no issue here.
Incorrect, daily rewards are meant to look like a "free" thing you get for logging into game, but are actually made to reduce inventory space as most are character bound (can't even be moved into bank or storage chest) and to a larger degree are consumables.
When daily reward first where introduced it had much better items that you could get. Problem at that time was that you need to log in regular to gain that reward in end of week or month which some felt where a problem as it could be missed, if one for some reason couldn't log in each day for that period to gain reward (unlock system where item where greyed out until certain requirement where being fulfilled).

✭✭✭✭✭Daily rewards aren't character bound, they're account bound. I like most of it; don't have any use for the poisons so get rid of those. Not too into the costume this month, but that shield is VERY nice. -

I'm not happy to delete anything that is free, but this month has seen a few things blown away for taking up space. -
