That's well within the rng. Drop rate for a specific weapon (regardless of trait) is 2.2%, so you can "expect" to get a BSW stuff after 45 drops. It's not a guarantee, though and you have to count in variance, so after 45 drops you'r probability to get a BSW stuff is not 100%, it is still 2.2% per drop.IBreathlesSI wrote: »After all this playtime I only got burning spellweave inferno staff once. Why continue whining on forums after they give cyristals and double drop dual wields? Do you want to get weapons for free too?

My vote is no. No token system. Don't make the single most difficult single player content in any mmo to date a casual fest. Just get in there and get used to it. VMA is a way to test your builds, and your DPS when you only have you to rely on. The more you do it, the better you get.

Nope. I had a guildie who ran it over 80 time for the bow. And I've got another one getting up there to try and get the inferno staff.
And im sure they tell you 100% the truth and you kept track of every single run they did and theyre definitly not BSing and overexaggerating.
The probabilties of that are in the .5% range and for you to know two people is even less likely.

I think we could make a "balanced" proposal.
What about a deathless run (or a 30 minutes run) lets you choose weapon (but no trait)? People who get such, deserves not to be farming over and over the place.
Add a condition to make people interested on doing so. Tbh i cba arsed to go for flawless but i admit that if i could go there and choose one weapon that keeps dodging me, maybe, id go for it. (not my example, got every weapon but Lightning and cba to farm it more for it).
There is a fair amount of evidence to that suggests the drop rate for each weapon is not the same for each person at the character level. I've posted about this extensively in other threads. It potentially has to do with the seeding of random number generators, etc, etc... If you want evidence yourself calculate the probability of not getting a staff after 250 runs and see what you get. I've seen reports of 500 time which is essentially impossible at almost any level of measurement for something that should happen 1/12th of the time. The seeds appear to resent after 3-6 months so what it looks like is people with no chance of getting a weapon just outplay the reset. So when you so it took 96 runs to get it, I suspect the reason for the drop is the seed reset finally giving you a chance to get it.
Now on to the solution, yes a token system would help to resolve this, but without this your other options are:
1. Use another character, the seeds are character specific. So your odds will change with a different character
2. Wait out the seed reset, try again in 3-6 months
3. Get on the leaderboards, the leaderboard drops appear to use different seed since it come in the mail. This is hard for sorc and NB, but easy for DK, Warden, and templar.
So your best chance is learn it on one of the underutilized classes like Warden or templar and you should get one in fairly short order.
Hope this helps.
40 runs and no inferno smells like bs.
At least you just need to drop 1 inferno in any trait and youre set forever.
Imagine how it was before trait changing and when you had 500 CP to distribute less.
Friend of mine kept track of his vma drops, by the time he did 40 runs he got every weapon-type at least twice.
Dont wanna embed the first 40 drops as it would be a long list, but if youre interested here you go: https://i.imgur.com/ZMW6tzh.png
