If there was one thing putting me off this game for years, it was that if a melee character wanted to have good DPS you were basically forced to play melee....with a bow as secondary due to its AoE skills.
Took ages, but they are finally addressing this monstrosity. Bow should be used from afar, not as mandatory weapon for melee users. Couldn't look more silly.

✭✭I'd like to see the bow reworked to have more options than it has now.
Guild Wars has a lot of cool bow moves for example.
One that flips you backwards after you fire.
One that puts you in stealth after you fire.
One that creates a gas cloud that interrupts on intervals.
One that explodes into bomblets according to how you time the explosion.
There is dozens more like that. Very fun weapon type.

✭✭✭✭Agreed. Although. I'd like to see them change stampede to 10s. It's annoyingly complex when only magicka skills match that 8s duration and Arrow Barrage, Razor Caltrops and all weapon skill line dots match 10s.PC Beta - 2200+ CP

✭✭Dragon's Dogma has such a cool bow move.
You hold the shot until you run out of stamina.
When your stamina is all gone the shot fires and the damage it does revolves around the amount of stamina drained.
It is insane.
I think it is called Great Gamble.2 -
