I get a lot of crap jewelry as pillage when looting.

Most of it is white, some green, all lvl 160.

Just like crap lvl 160 glyphs.

Then why do my lvl 1088 master crafters constantly get nothing at all when crushing the stuff for mats?
I mean, I should get SOMEthing out of the stuff.

It doesn't sell for scrap value to vendors, and I don't find enough people who are leveling up crafting to take the junk off my hands fast enough.

It just seems a waste to declare it scrap with JunkBuster add-on and 'sell' it to vendors for zero gold.

Am I doing it wrong, or is it really just offal?
The problem with society these days is that no one drinks from the skulls of their enemies anymore.

Because the white items have a merchant value of zero.

This means they are rusty, rotten, mouldy, infested with vermin, or in the case of glyphs, drained of arcane power.

Stuff you pick up from ruins, caves, or the belly of a beast are rarely in salvageable condition.

Crappy white glyphs are super crap. They take up an entire inventory slot for each one. I just destroy them. Same with treasure maps, super crap: destroy! White jews can still be useful for leveling jewelcrafting (I always horde a ton in my storages until I got enoughfor my next alt), but else they should just be sold to vendor.

Yeah I don't know why they made most gear you find from pilfering such crap with zero value. Their only purpose seems literally to clog up your inventory.

It was an odd design choice for sure.

This isn’t breaking news is it?

It’s called trash for a reason ... if you don’t want it simply don’t pick it up.

It not like prior Elder Scrolls games didn’t have crap. Remember calipers??

No. It's not breaking news. It's been this way since beta. It was just the subject of the thread so I thought I'd comment about it. Is that ok?

I just don't really see the point in putting a lot of useless trash no one would want all over the place when pilfering. It doesn't make much sense to me from a design stand point. It never has.

I remember when the container trash used to have actual value. The 0 priced drops were introduced later. Then there were short periods of time when a new location would be buggy and give items of value, like Dreloth Tomb, for example. You went there in the hope of getting some of the lovely new dark elf furniture (before you could get it for writs), and you'd pick up lots of gold in trashy items while you were at it. Those were the times...

He's right though. They're really good with crafting jewelry.

Think it was why it was changed, its an way to slow down looting containers.

In short gear in containers is below your level and have 0 value, as other say the jewelry has some value in leveling this skill
The rest is junk, stolen gear on the other hand has value but has to be laundered with an launder limit.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

If it's of the same type, level etc it should stack. Don't understand why they haven't done this yet tbh.
