We now come down to the LAST FOUR CHARACTERS in our BATTLE TO THE DEATH!

The four remaining characters (along with their links) are as follows:

- Rigurt the Brash S2 Loser

Here to support my sweetheart. Raz has been alright thus far, but he will choose duty over friendship and well, I'm not in his alliance to be able to ignore that.

Absolutely Darien. He not only has the better personality, to me he also scores higher in the loyalty department.

By that I mean, Raz's loyalty lies in one place. His elf queen. And thats all.

Our characters come second place in his view and it seems to me that he only bothers with us if he thinks we can help or further the agenda of his queen.

And even if we decide to be kind and choose not to let him die, is he grateful? Nope, he just cops an attitude towards us.

Darien however seems to be the type who is loyal to his friends before all, and would always have your back. So he gets my vote and whether he wins or loses here, hes still a winner to me.

Raz is a fun character, but wit will only get you this far for me. Darien is a genuinely wonderful guy. Wholesome to the core and deserves so much better.

It's kind of funny, actually - before Summerset, I would have said that I preferred Raz as a character even though my Vestige is in love with Darien and I've written an exorbitant amount of fanfic about him. Now, though, I can't really think of a reason for Darien not to be my favorite character.

So my vote goes to my man. Either way, though, I'll be going for the winner of this round in the finals.

Do you have a link for your Darien FF? I'm a fanfic writer too for a few fandoms, but not Elder Scrolls, though I do love reading them.

It's almost all quest-based, and not everything directly deals with Darien, but if you like reliving feels then there should be plenty in there to keep you busy.

Can't agree more on this. Darien seems to be the only person in the entire game who cares about the protagonist without any hidden motives. Everyone else is rather need us for something or else. We'll respawn anyways, right? Duh.

Raz is very poorly written in Elsweyr. I did like him when I did the AD storyline in the base game. Was disappointed in his dead-not dead act in Reaper's March. Was confused why the hell he was written into Elsweyr at all. He's the she-elf's right hand, a master spy and expert in disguise. Having him be on holidays with his feeble-minded brother and overbearing mother just didn't feel like him at all. It could have been any generic NPC. If that were the baseline for recurring characters, we might as well not have them. So I can't possibly vote for Raz in a recurring character popularity poll.

I've had the same problem with writing on Naryu in Morrowind too. It's like both Naryu and Raz have become a grotesque copies of themselves from the base game and I really don't like the change. I was so relieved when Darien stayed himself in Summerset.

The way in which Darien disappeared and then came back was one of my favorite story lines! I truly didn't think he would return...but then he did and it was very fun. Go Darien!
