Is it smart to nerf when you are selling skill lines?

As the title asks, is this smart? Nerfing Caltrops will hurt Alliance skill line sales. Same with any nerfed skill/line.

You are looking at it from a PvE point of view if you think caltrops is nerfed. PvP-wise; I noticed they added major fracture to razer caltrops. AOE major fracture will be useful.

At any rate; to your question. May be the right time as people decide they are not happy with their class or being mag vs stam. Its easier than ever now to take an alt character or an existing one, and change them completely with all skills being available to them. Basically can switch mains for some cash.

Well I’m not sure they realized the consequences of killing the crown store sales, but at least I’ll save some money this way. No reason to pay for nerfed skills.

Possibly, but there is still Warhorn, Vigor, and Barrier.

The tin foil hat crowd may not believe this but balance changes never have anything to do with the crown store.

No one is going to buy skill lines that level quickly. If they nerf those skill lines and make skills in undaunted or psijic or mages guild more valuable it increases their sales cause those are the lines people don't want to bother with.

But nerfing all other classes and then fixing the Necro class will probably entice people to buy Elsweyr if they haven't already.
