Khajiit v Bosmer

Here are the passives I don't quite understand:
Khajiit - "Reduces your detection radius in Stealth by 3m."
Bosmer - "Increases your Stealth detection radius by 3m"

Which of the two makes you more difficult to be detected (more sneaky)? The Khajiit passive or the Bosmer one. Thanks!

Khajiit are harder to be seen, unless you are a Bosmer ;)

The Khajjit makes you the best at stealthing, you are harder to detect.
Khajiit also has better pickpocket and everything.

ZOS took everything away from the Bosmer - The "Increases your Stealth detection radius by 3m" actually makes you easier to be detected as a Bosmer because your eye opens sooner.

The Bosmer used to share the "Stealthy" passive with the cat folk, But they were gutted for the release of the latest expansion to encourage new players to choose a beast race.

Right now my little tiny 4 foot Nightblade is as easy to detect in sneek as Lyris Titanborn.

Yes, Bosmer sustain is great but everything else is pretty rubbish. I have been thinking about race-changing my stamblade to Khajiit. Better stealth, better damage, better health and magicka pools. I just don't like the fact that they are cats (love their accent though haha!)

I came here expecting a poll for "Most likely to bow light attack through a vet dungeon."

But for real, Khajit are good at hiding, Bosmer are good at detecting. Problem is detecting is only (Marginally) useful in PvP, so there's really no good reason (strategically speaking) to play wood elf. Redguards are the better sustain race anyway, and Khajit have those chunky crits.

That confirmed my suspicions. I will race change today!

That idea even bothers me a bit. "Great for sustain."

First toon I ever made was bosmer.

I assumed with the class changes that bosmer would be the "sustain" race and given magic regen to equal the stam making it great for both.

    Nope

Unfortunately Khajiit are the only stealth race in ESO right now because the Devs screwed up big time in Wrathstone, completely ****ting on the lore in the process.
Bosmer have a useless detection passive that you will never be able to take advantage of in PvE and that is useless enough in PvP to still be decon-trash on item sets.

If you have hope that ZOS will ever see reason again and give Bosmer their stealth back, then feel free to pick Bosmer. Buf if that is too much of a wait for you, then Khajiit are the superior choice.
This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

Except Hunter's Eye stealth detection is garbage. With it maxed, I can't see an enemy crouched 6 feet away from me. But cast Expert Hunter, boom, there he is. And I'm also at a disadvantage because since I can theoretically see him 3 meters closer, his hidden "eye" will partially open before any other race approaches..... even though I can't see him at all. So he knows I'm there before I know he's there.

Passive stealth detection simply does not work.

The second part is completely right players know you’re near by cause their eye opens a bit. But the first part is wrong it does increase your stealth detection but you have to remember that medium armor reduce the stealth detection range 5% per piece.
