ZOS: How dare you make us pay for skill lines that should be ACCOUNT wide? NOT ACEPTTABLE!!😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠ZOS

You have gone too far. I have worked hard to open skill lines on most of my characters and now you do this? If you can do this then why dont you sell all the rare skins too? For those of us who cant do vet trials we at least could grind skill lines and feel like we were achieving something but now you have cheapened our achievements.
The reality is these skill lines should always have been account wide from the start.
I have invested thousands of dollars into this game and for you to do this 8s gut wrenching to say the least. Ive been an eso plus subber for years and i buy lots from your store but your greed is going too far. These are pixels on loan and as much as i love eso and respect the devs and all the work you do i was happy to sub always have been and to buy furnishings and houses and costumes and pets etc but this is unfair. Will you be charging me to do quests next?

I AM FURIOUS BEYOND BELIEF ..i hate where you are taking eso....I hope you feel the heat of my raging anger eminating from my post ...that is how angry i am. Umbelievable

I can really tell that you're furious because of all the bold, the caps, and the angry emojis. Good job getting your emotions out there.

BTW if you've invested thousands of dollars in this game, you've validated and encouraged this model. I have never bought a clown, but have subbed as long as I've been playing. I was away for 2 years and didn't sub then. They make a good enough game, they get my money. They don't, they get zero money.

Zenimax doesn't care you players, they only see you as a cash wallet and their business is how to rob your money.
Do you think Zenimax can be compared to Digital Extremes (Wareframe) ? they don't *** care about you.
You're not special to them unless you're called a whaile. only then you're very special but also very stupid

I like the Change. I like to play every class in stam and mag spec.

It always pushed me away to grind a new char cause Undaunted grind was just annoying. I did it several times and it cost so much time of my gaming time that i could spend with things that i enjoy. Now i can just skip it cause i did it several times already. Like the Tutorial. That i need to pay for this comes indeed with a salty flavour but i am okay with this. More time i can spend on enjoying the game instead of brainless doing Dungeons or lore book Runs.....

I'm starting to doubt myself. The tone of this post seems like obvious sarcasm to me, but I see a lot of serious responses. Am I missing something? Or did those people not read the OP carefully? Or are they just people who don't get sarcasm?

    So what's the problem then?

You've already got the skill lines on at least one character for free by playing the game.

If you want the skill lines for free on any new character you make, that's free. All you have to do is play the game.

Or you can pay to unlock them without having to play the game.

I understand that you want ZOS to give them to you for free without having to play the game, but frankly that's unrealistic. This is ZOS we're talking about, after all.

So the real question is are you willing to pay not to play the game?

I"m not clear on what your point is then. You stated that they are making you purchase. I stated they are not making you purchase.

If you wanted to make a different point, you should have probably not started the idea with what you say is not the point.

Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

my problem with this is, again, this is significantly harder to say no to depending on who you are as a player.

if your a mag player, lore books for mages guild is disproportionately harder that lvling fighters guild.

along with that if your on console trying to do mages guild is even harder because of not having addons.

If you are a stam player you can skip buying fighters guild with no down side, its done EASILY as you lvl up. Fighters guild is at or close to lvl 10 by the time you hit lvl 50. Stam also gets to completely skip the psijic line too. The only benefit stam gets buy paying is skipping undaunted.

Is this pay to win? Should it necessarily be something free in game? No. Is it scummy and exploitative that based on how you want to play the game, paying for this could save you a week or 2 of work versus another demographic of players that this would only save a day or 2 of work? Ya

This is something I've never understood. Do lorebooks not glow blue in your game? I've always been able to find a ton just riding from place to place, finding all skyshards in each zone for skill points. The problem doesn't seem to be that this or that skill line is hard - it's that people want the option to drop into newly created, max-leveled characters. And discard them for new ones every time the meta changes. Hence the Clown Store skyshards, and now skill lines. That is not how an MMORPG should work, I think.

This shouldn't be a paid feature, it should be free. It's crazy how many people are accepting of scummy practices like this.
Overload rework. Power Overload now does physical damage and grants you the power of a tornado: You throw a brick at the target with a light attack, and you hammer your head into that brick with every heavy attack. We have decreased its Ultimate cost, but increased the chance that you get stuck in the animation.

^^Thats a fine thing when you have access to a lorebook and skyshard map. Too bad for console players. Do you know how I know you play on PC and use the add on? Because its not that easy on console and you wouldnt say that if you played here. Its actually a pain in the ass. Even though they glow blue its nothing compared to PC. On my PC account, I got 1 char to mages guild 6 just by hunting skyshards and picking up the lorebooks nearby that appeared on my compass from the add on. Only in a few zones, lol.

And no thats not how an mmo should work. You should be able to get certain things account wide by completing hard achievements, or other tasks, in game. But any time zos can milk the player base more you bet your ass they will.

I wish for once I could say wow, amazing job zos. If they had put them in the game for gold, thats what I would be saying.

Here's the thing: individual character progression has NEVER been account wide. It's not like it once was and now it's not. I don't really get the outrage. Of course ESO is gonna milk us like the cash cow we are...we spend tons of money on cosmetics in the crown store.

I, on the other hand, love boring gameplay, so I'm gonna level psijic for free (and grab skyshards and lorebooks while I'm at it)!

I am specifically not talking about using addons. I have 13 characters. From early access I've always played on multiple characters simultaneously. I didn't even use addons in the first 6 months I played because I was against them, saw them as a cop-out by ZOS to have their UI designed for free by addon creators. It took 2 or 3 passes tops to learn most overland skyshards by heart. Lorebooks glow blue on console too, I guess? Can you honestly not see them from far away unless they're inside buildings? Especially at night they're super easy to spot. You know what DOESN'T get you lorebooks? Refusing to get out there and crying in the forums for account-wide everything.

Also, if the skill lines are so grindy, shouldn't your reaction to ask ZOS make them LESS grindy, rather than cheering on as they charge for yet another "convenience" item?

ZOS do not force you to buy those lines.

Take the Skyshards : since its out, i leveled 4 classes on a new account (second, and still playing the first one too).

Yesterday i finished to collect all the skyshards on Cyrodill. I could have bought those, but decided to go the old way and i am very happy with it.

BUT i totally understand why some people will appreciate this greatly for ALTS.

They have first to do it one time on a character, that means complete everything before any alts will be able to buy skills and more.

They will have to work with they main first. All is fine
