New Spammable for my Fellow Stam-Sorcs and DK's

With the nerfs to sword and board it will be retired from my build. My problem now is what to use as my primary spammable. Puncture and heroic slash were great skills and easy to weave on mobile targets. I do not feel the same way about dizzy or flurry or... almost not even worth mentioning... crushing weapon. What will you all be using now? The buff to dizzying swing is tempting especially with the other buffs to 2-hand but nothing beats the consistency and ease of use of an instant cast and I already know that trying to connect those dizzy swings is going to give me a headache.

I know the feeling. My stamsorc's spammable was shrouded daggers. It was easy to weave, and did decent damage with an aoe element. It now is useless..

@ecru Kind of a bold assumption that PVPers don't read patch notes. Also define "fine" because it still isn't "good" and this is shown by the lack of people using it.

Nothing beats satisfaction of successful Dizzy + LA + Onslaught + Execute combo, I can tell you. But yeah, Bloodthirst can do.

Good luck, we asked for a good spammable for StamDKs during the U22 PTS cycle, and despite MANY, MANY good, sensible suggestions.. we got Seething Fury; slot it and forget it for 375 Weapon Damage if you don't mind spamming Breath every 4 seconds, GG!

Honestly, I think I'll just be switching from Heroic Slash to Deep Slash -- it wasn't affected by the damage nerf, if I read correctly. It should be like the current Heroic Slash, minus the Minor Heroism but with some AoE damage. Otherwise, Silver Shards looks like a good alternative.

I'll never understand why DKs don't have a stamina version of whip.

Especially when whips are really a physical weapon generally, made of leather rather than fire. At least the ones I've seen were

Dizzy will be very strong next patch, just practice it and you will feel better about it, try using something to increase mobility and it makes it much easier to land. Flurry actually does more damage than a surprise attack this patch but it falls short do to functionality issues, I have used it and feel it is totally viable.

Crushing Weapon has a learning curve but honestly it's an awesome skill, but I can understand why you would avoid using it because when the lag kicks in, the skill feels really bad.
Flurry is also really strong, you just need to get used to the channel. Pretty cheap and decent damage.

Just goes to show you how huge the power gap is between Stamina and Magicka: Elemental Weapon is usually the BEST spammable for Magicka builds, but Crushing Weapon is not even worth mentioning for Stamina builds...

People don’t use crushing blow because it is difficult to land perfectly on mobile targets and you end up losing entire GCD’s and lose stamina to recasting after a miss. At range this isn’t an issue.

I tried it out in some duels on PTS and it was performing decently. The pressure was there but I didn’t feel like it had the burst to take down good players. Then again this was on an unoptimized build with sets that I don’t plan on using anymore so I may have to try it again with different weapon combos.

Exactly.

Imo flurry lacks burst in medium, and with flurry I have no cc option really. It's just not a very good skill.

With new onslaught I will just run molten whip paired with buffed noxious breath and pelinal and make those nice 6k spell damage hybrid whips in no-CP. Long time dream became a reality! That is basically only one thing which keeps me tempted about U23, keeping fingers crossed that ZOS won't eliminate onslaught before I have some fun.
