What is Magblade looking like for next patch?

For those of you not doom and glooming about some buffed DoTs and nerfed AoEs. Ty. How is Magblade looking for next patch? Couldn't find any reason to play them currently, seem a little lack luster/non-flashy.

    I'm still HOPING for a buff like to give the class atleast ONE SYNERGY since I'm maining as a NB Healer

    Good:
    1. Cripple got a 37% dot dmg buff and a 300 cost decrease (!)

    Bad:
    1. Twisting Path got a 14% nerf
    2. Grim focus lost 5% of it's damage mitigation at full stacks (1% per LA)

    Ugly:
    1. Dark shade got a 9% nerf and a 1300 (!) cost increase.
    2. Bloody Mara is now the same as blue food, stats-wise

    Other:
    1. Blockade of Elements has 12s duration now (same time as Twisting Path)
    2. Unstable Wall lasts 8s now (same as Cripple), and does double dmg on the explosion not really interesting since Cripple is 10s, not 8s.
    3. Degeneration lasts 10s now (used to last 12, sigh same as Cripple) got a pretty hefty buff and does an unnamed 100 magickasteal-on-LA instead of heals. Maybe useful for timing leaching strikes, maybe an excuse to return to Soul Harvest?

    Destructive Reach is loosing the Stun and will become a DoT (the other morph still have the stun but they are decreasing the range even more).

    So we lose our range stun in PvP...

    Magblade seems to be in a good spot next patch considering all of the nerfs to other classes. We will be losing out on aoe damage but the class will go back and retain its original identity that is a really high single target damage dd.

    As for pvp, there aren't much changes tbh. The nerf to merciless doesn't seem to bother me much cos I know it was overperforming a bit. The cost nerf to shadow image is big but we can make some changes to balance it out. Reach lost its stun but fear has always been the better cc and I actually never use reach in open world or duels so I can't say much about it.

    Cripple damage got buffed. We have access to 2 new dots (soul trap/degeneration) so overall it seems like a good patch for us.

    Various new ways to play our class now. Traditional ranged dd, melee magblade, stealth ranged, stealth melee, ranged dot, melee dot, tanky, full damage, sustainblade etc.

    Cripple lasts 10s, not 8s, and Entropy should be at 12s with the Mages Guild passive that increases skill durations.

    All in all, I don't mind the nerfs to AoE damage, since everyone got hit with them equally. The adjustments to various timers are very welcome; the new 12s Blockade lines up beautifully with Path. Cripple is, unfortunately, an outlier duration-wise. I still hate the new Grim Focus, as mitigation doesn't belong anywhere near skill. Despite that, things seem far from terrible.

    I’ll be mostly loading up on weapon and guild skills.

    Has cripple been fixed so it actually snares? Either way, the spec will be weaker and I don’t see any good news in the notes.
