[Guild Finder] Can we get text search? Even for just the guild name?

Saw a guild recruiting in zone. Had 5 guild at the time but I kept track of the name. Now I can't find them in Guild Finder at all.
Does Guild Finder show only a limited number of guilds at a time or does it show every guild that has registered?

Guild Finder only lists guilds that:
    1) Has made a advert
    2) Has room to add new members, goes a little above the 500 but not certain if they said by how much.

While this is true, it doesn't address the concerns of the OP. The guild he is looking for may very well be listed, but there is no way to search a guild by name. You could browse for hours and not find a specific guild even if it is listed.

A way to search by name seems like something so basic. The sort of thing that doesn't take 4 years to implement into an in game system... oh wait.

I made bold the concern that was a question and I answered. The statement in the title is for the Dev's, but yes it is a good suggestion to add into the game. Yes it should have been done when adding the feature. I believe it was suggested in PTS but obviously was ignored.

I just discovered this glaring lack myself. There should ABSOLUTELY be a way to search by name. I'm utterly floored that they didn't think to put this in. Reminds me of when they said, "We didn't make chairs and benches sittable because we didn't think anyone would actually want to sit on them."

@ZOS_GinaBruno I would also like to see the "Active Members" number during Guild Search -- which is totally rubbish since it includes people who haven't logged in for weeks or months -- change to "Members Online".

That way, if you are looking for a guild during whatever time you are most able to play, you can estimate how many guildies will be active at that time.

It really is a needed feature. I literally just encountered this situation over the weekend. Was doing some surveys in Craglorn and saw some poor player in zone text chat trying to find anyone with a connection to a particular guild he used to be in. Sounded like he'd taken a break from the game (and probably got kicked for inactivity) and wanted to rejoin them, but could not find them in Guild Finder... a task that would have been made much more simpler if one could simply search by guild name.

I tried searching in Guild Finder, too, knowing that guild usually holds a trader, and had no luck either. Out of desire to help, I ended up checking the spreadsheet I keep weekly of guilds and trader locations because I knew I'd written their name down recently and, sure enough, they had a trader in Marbruk at the time. So, I directed the poor fellow there so he could browse the seller names and find the GM or an officer he recognized and could have the right PSN name spelling to message them for an invite back.

It shouldn't have to take a Missed Connections ad in zone chat to find a guild again, really.
