How many players will really leave game with next patch?

I won´t leave. I already did cancel my subscription which ends at August, a bit afterwards the patch comes live. I plan to play less as one character which i played dont feel it will be fun to play anymore. I won´t need to pay a subscription for that.

On topic, I won't be leaving the game, but I will cancel my subscription, I mostly like doing PvE trials, so not looking forward to how these changes will affect my preferred content.

Yep I agree 100% I play the forum game at work and play wow also at night. Dont have to wait to log in, no inf loading screen, no constant nerfs and no Antonio lol. He will come for me now.

To me cancelling your sub is the same as leaving the game. As pointed out, players won't actually leave. But I would like to know how many players have cancelled subs.

With performance issues and now these patch notes its probably time to quit I cancelled my sub hopefully they revert the non healing nerfs at the very least. I really like ESO but I can't take this balance roller coaster anymore every patch I adapt just to have my build completely destroyed I hate having to relearn the game every 3 months it sucks.'

these types of balance changes are stuff you do year 1 not 5 years into the game I don't know much about game design but one thing I do know is you don't let your customer base feel that the characters they've spent hundreds if not thousands of hours on are now useless that they feel there are getting weaker with every patch that's how you lose customers and lose money.

After some clarification on how certain skills will work now (orbs), im actually looking forward to how the meta will shift especially being a healer main. Seeing some numbers coming from PTS im actually hopeful things will not be as boring as they have been

Judging by the guilds I'm in, trading guilds are fine because of the new players. PvE and PvP guilds that I'm in lost some players due to the server stability issues and Steam sales (lol). We will loose no one in the guild due to the patch notes but we will see who will leave when the update hits the live servers.

Update 20 broke my main character's race be removing stealth from it.

Update 21 nerfed my main character's class some more. And my second favourite character, who is of the same class.

Elsweyr is a bug fest, public dungeons haven't even been itemised properly, Dragons are lame, stam necromancers have been unplayable for weeks due to bugs, server performance is a nightmare, but "everything is awesome".

I log in every day for the routine quick quest, but aside from that I haven't played in weeks. I have stopped giving money to ZOS, and don't plan on giving them any more in any foreseeable future. I keep the game up to date so I can play with my wife from time to time, give her a hand in a quest or anything, but mostly, I already am on a break.

With Wrathstone update, I stopped doing PvP content.
With Elsweyr, I have stopped doing end-game PvE content.

Curently I am only logging in to get daily reward, do crafting quest and when there is an event - a bare minimum to get event tickets. I no longer care about my build or gear. I looked this through. With this freqency of huge, revilutionary changes it is simply pointless.

Already taking a break. Had nothing to do with the patch notes but after reading them I could tell that I'd enjoy the game a little less, since my playstyle would have to change. So my timing was convenient. Still, I'll be back eventually. I always am.

Wont leave until it comes into effect. But after 3 years of subbing, i have already cancelled my sub due to their lack of communication regarding the performance issues for PVE. Why should we financially support a game that is running this poorly performance wise?

Ive had almost whole guilds stop playing due to the inability to run vet trials (especially score runs). Combine the performance issues on xbox with the direction of the pts notes, i can honestly say that most of the xbox end game trial community is anxious about the future.

Maybe when the patch drops it could be the straw that broke the camels back?

Endgame PvE Healer main here. If the patch goes through as-is, I won’t leave, but I also won’t pay any more actual money for new content/ESO+ (unless I find a new role I enjoy playing, which hasn’t happen in 3 years lol.) I’ll just end up logging in just to collect dailies and sell mats until they fix things.

To be honest - the only time I ever saw healing springs spam was in trials. I really don't think many casuals do or did that. But maybe I'm wrong.

The changes to regeneration look great to me and should help casual healers out a lot. Though I haven't tested it out for myself yet so this is all just speculation at this point. But if it's as good as it looks - this might make healers actually effective at healing again.

The CP Campaigns in Zergodil are awful - almost unplayable . Made me appreciate the lower population in none CP campaigns. This game's server simply can't handle a full Cyrodil. That or I need a new computer or something...

First 8 players leave, then 4 players will join. The result will be 4 players leaving. I am talking about a small slice of time here, not the full picture.

These changes are going to hurt the medium to medium high prog groups most. For example those doing Craglorn HMs, VMOL and VHOF. Which are possibly the largest population of players in the game. The majority of whom have ESO+, buy crowns on occasion and mainly help the newer players, who tend to stick around longer because of the friendships made, thus bringing in more profits. You're going to end up shooting yourselves in the foot here Zos

If the wanted to Nerf the end game players this isn't the way to do it as most are so comfortable in the harder content that they can clear it in worse than meta gear.

Tl;dr version:
The medium to medium high end players are what's holding the population together. Don't f with them.
