How many players will really leave game with next patch?

Less than what there should be. Every patch we all complain like a battered spouse yet zos continues to slap us around. There are very few that can gather the courage to say enough and im not one of them as are many of you. Instead we shut up and take it, giving them our cash in hope that someday it will get better. There's still hope that someday it will get better, but that hope becomes less and less every patch.

I think you will see some healers leave the game. Small man pvp will see an increase. I now have 7 confirmed friends that say they will be moving on.

I'm not leaving but that crisp $50 bill I just got in the mail will go towards another game.

I've been playing since Console launch and I've never played any other game where each update is a huge pendulum swing.

You dont have re write the game every 3 months to keep relevant. Just put out quality content with a strong Value per dollar and the player base will buy it.

No matter what you change. Meta surfers will find the new exploitable sets and skill combinations and you will be back to the drawing board.

After 5+ yrs playing eso, I've logged in nearly every day, GM-ed several large guilds and paid eso+ from the first week it was introduced in the game. Yesterday, I cancelled my sub for the first time. Enough is enough. To continue playing or not, will depend on the outcome of the changes in the trading part of eso.

Been a long standing ESO+ sub, GM of a trading guild, when my sub runs out looks like that is it for me on subs and possibly on the guild.

I can say that I log in less and less each day. Nerf after nerf instead of balancing PvP and PvE separately. Having what seems to be like constant "special events", dragging out for a year a special mount. Now making a huge change to trader bidding without explaining what they want to accomplish in Dev Note on the PTS and the headaches that it going to cause. This all makes me want to log in less if at all.

Well, if any poll on this forum could be used to guestimate overall player population trenss, the last one had about 30% people either leaving or unsubbing.

If only a 1/6 are actually going to do it, that's about 5%.
If the player population is as high as ZoS claims, leet's say there's 1 million subbers. 5% of 1mil that's a lot of people.
50k to be exact... if you account 10 bucks a months, that's half a mil revenue loss for ZoS, per month. If those people remain unsubbed/not playing the game over 6 months, that's 3 millions revenue loss for ZoS.

Even being extremely generous, and only 1/3 of what i just said is real, it's 1 mil loss in the course of 6 months (about the time it takes for some new chapter/ story DLC to be released).

But nowadays 1 mil is nothing. There was even a Million givaway thing so at this point they just don't care.

there's a vocal minority of people who were going to quit no matter what was on the patch notes, even if it was just 'scalebreaker is now live and we fixed some performance issues have a nice day guys" they'd still be spewing hateful vitriol all over the forums and everywhere they touch in game because it's what makes them happy. every game has it.

in terms of people who matter, probably not many.

Zos please revert the pve changes so these nerds will hush it and keep playing. BUT KEEP ALL THE PVP CHANGES.

The groups of players that are complaining:
- Trade guilds
- Healers
- RPer's
- P2W complainers
- Players that want broken stuff fixed that are giving up
- PVE
- Some PVP

Mostly small scale pvpers like the changes. That survey shows 22% "quitting" and 20% cancelling subs. This patch will be a game changer. You have ruffled too many types of players with this move. And, I have no hope you won't enact everything in the PTS patch notes. Some players have hung around but are basically waiting for a "reason" to move on. This is going to give them that reason.

I unfortunately had my sub going until december, guess my eso plus is just gonna collect dust until then

This game had so much potential to be one of the greatest mmos with an amazing and fun combat system. This game caters to so many types of players from role players all the way to hardcore end game raiders

With all the nerfs to damage, getting those elusive titles like tick tock and immortal redeemer are just not gonna be possible, especially on console.

Hell, good luck to pc to get any more of those titles, especially godslayer. Good luck killing that servant downstairs on hard mode nahviintaas

The end game community is small, but you're also scaring away the casual raiders and any upcoming raiders and their teams. Progressions are gonna be horrible, but I guess their biggest player base are role players and housing players, so none of these changes affect them

There are other games in the sea, borderlands 3 is coming out shortly after the doomsday scale breaker, guess zos is telling me to take a break, a very long break

Way too much content I can't do as a result of lag, coupled with too many changes at once. I left before Wolfhunter and I adapted to the shield nerf when I came back by increasing health - but guess what? The shield is getting a further nerf, as is healing, as are quite a number of sets. With the ever-worsening lag it'll be impossible for me to ever get through VMA again, let alone get Flawless. So yeah. I won't be renewing my sub when it expires in 4 weeks - and let's face it, there was a massive outcry about the sustain nerf when it appeared in the patch notes, which was ignored. These will all go through. Yeah, we adapted to that, but I'm getting too old for this ****.
I want more from this game than house decorating and crafting.

I've uninstalled and unsubbed to ESO Plus 2 weeks after Elsweyr. Because ZOS is now just straight completely dumpstering Magicka Specs more and more. While at the same time continuously buffing the living hell out of the already 2 years of Stamina META Dominance.

As a player that likes to play a caster. I see absolutely no point to play ESO now. If I really want to play a caster in a Elder Scroll setting. I guess I am forced to play Skyrim. I'm ok with this. I'm pretty sure ZOS wanted to *** off some of it's playerbase to the point of quiting. To reduce the strain on the servers.

However best to believe. This will be the last ZOS product I will even buy or play. So yep another bridge they burnt.

I'm already playing a lot less and there is nothing in the next patch that makes me feel like I want to come back. Struggling to even finish the Elsweyr story line.

The reason I can't be bothered playing any more? End game content is too much of a grind and each patch seems to make it worse. I haven't even bothered trying vet cloudrest let alone even stepped in to sunspire or whatever it is called.

Tbf I haven't really played since the last update as everything I try and do glitches atm. I log in and get reward, check my guild is still ok and update notes then log off. Occasionally i go do the event ticket quests if the server is quiet enough. I'll remain the same until the performance issues improve and then I'll adapt if the game is still playable.

I've just started playing again after a break of a few months. I gave in and bought a 3 month sub at the weekend. I play solo as much as I can, and I've not really noticed much difference, though the lag seems to be a bit less (EU PC), though I might have caught quiet times.

I like some of the interface changes, the zone guide is useful, but there are still a fair few bugs. The lightning staff still seems a bit hit and miss and the target is out of range error seems to have got much worse. I've not been keeping up with what's been changed though and I've started a brand new character, so I guess I'll find out as I go.

*Having found the notes I see that the out of range error bug seems to have been fixed. I'm not sure what the problem is with the patch, but I don't really take too much notice of every detail in each set and ability. It is, at the end of the day, just a game. I'll play it while it's fun and it is at the moment.

Forgot how good it looks too.

Yeah just looked at a poll. 20% cancelling subs. As for just "quitting" doubtful that ZOS cares.

Blah blah many talks, not so many does something about it. Patch balance looks pretty good IMHO, everyone loses something. Some things are getting buffed (But why the heII magickaNB gets only nerfs? O_o).

What bothers me is no fix for some skills like shade, undo or Pummeling Goliath Bash.

I've started working on builds to adapt to the changes to be honest, that way if they do make it to the live server, I'm ready, if they don't, nothing lost. As a side effect, my stam necro is doing more DPS now over the cookie cutter build I was running...

Leaving a game I enjoy would just be cutting my nose of to spite my face.
