What is up with this? (In regards to drops from July 3rd's ESO Stream)

InfinityForever
I was watching some ESO streams and of course, people were talking about the stream yesterday (July 3rd) an then talk switched to the number of crates they got. A majority of people mentioned getting anywhere from 9 - 30 crates, 9 being the most common number I saw. There were very few, including me, that realized we only got one crate. So, I have to ask, what is up with that? Why did some people get so many more crates than others? That feels like some unfair treatment to me. I was even watching the stream from the beginning and was kind enough not to spam "drop" like so many others in chat were doing. Was I expected to spam chat in order to get more crates or something?

No explanation has been given, but this has to be a system error on their side. Like you mentioned, the numbers vary widely, I don't believe they would do that intentionally.

Also, we just began a new crown crate season, I doubt it was their intention to shower free gems on some players and sabotage their own sales.
