I never have more than 100k. It is 160k now because I try to save the gold and buy gold platings for my rings. A long way to go...

I've never had more that 900k. Don't really care to farm it honestly. Just another tool to help me fill in the gaps on whatever build I am currently tinkering with.

Playing since 2016, a member of trading guilds, yet not more than 100k in my bank. Making gold is so boring, it takes a lot of time. I hate farming mats. I do dailies with one cratfter. I tried 8 characters - it is a terrible waste of precious time. I have a lot of other things to do. When I have some monye I spend it on motifs/outfits. I tried to farm motifs instead of buying - well, it is even more boring than farming mats...

I'm just over 4 mil at the moment. I've been pretty poor for most of the first 4 yrs playing, but I ran out of things to buy. Once I bought a vast majority of the motifs, I kinda ran out of things to spend my money on. I harvest my own mats and sell my gold tempers, wax, and Rosins when I get above 100 of them.

The cash eventually just seems to accumulate.

I tend to try and keep about a mil in a bank for if something particularly good comes around and i really want it and i have a limited window to buy it. anything on top of that is usually me saving up for specific housing or motif related purchases. when i hit 5 mil mark, I go shopping and then begin the cycle of saving again. because my purchases nowadays number in millions, i kinda have to save up before shopping.

main character usually carries half a mil on her for incidental impulse buys/lux furniture purchases. everyone else is under 10k

My elf's an adventuress, neither merchant (no guild bank) nor artisan (no interest in writs). Her income is from questing and adventuring so the actual gold coming in is modest but regular. The reason her gold balance is healthy is that she's been doing it for a long time and spends little. Almost no outgo for housing/furniture/motifs. Her biggest gold sink is the occasional purchase from the weekly Golden Vendor in Cyrodiil - usually for an otherwise hard to get monster helm.

I think that the massive gold sink that is the guild vendor system pulls more than enough gold from the game. I haven't noticed any real spike in inflation on any common items.

Every few days, I gold out a build to test in PvP, only to be disappointed most of the time and return to my tried and tested stuff. Must have used up at least 5mill on failed tests.
