Since they allow gifting of CS items, I don't think this statement is referring to that.
I suspect what this is referring to is indeed gifting someone a CS item in exchange for in-game gold. It doesn't sound like they're banning it, just that they won't recognize it and therefore won't help you resolve it if you get scammed. That's my take, anyway.
I agree it has been asked and answered numerous times over the past years. But it has not been answered since the ToS was updated today. Companies change policy all the time. I just want to make sure it is still ok.Question has been asked and answered by ZoS numerous times over the past year.
It's fine.

I agree. I think ZoS grew tired of support tickets from players who dealt with strangers on gifting.
@ZOS_GinaBruno Does new ToS ban gifting crown store items for gold?
Can we get clarification on this please.
"ZeniMax prohibits, and does not recognize any purported, transfers, sales, gifts, or trades of Virtual Currency." I suppose that means the actual currency and not the items in the crown store that can be gifted.

Since I chose not to read endless pages of legal jargon, can anyone tell me what's important in the new ToS? Was there something they just felt they needed to add?
