Considering the current rate we're going with the alliance heroes, I wouldn't consider it too out of the park to think that next year we'll most likely see a Skyrim chapter featuring the nord hero, the only one we've yet to see outside of the original cinematic. I can see why they chose for the Breten hero to come back with this chapter, as it involves necromancers and stuff. So, I feel like bringing back the nord hero for a Skyrim chapter would be quite logical. As for what we'll see in the Skyrim chapter? Honestly, I'd bet money on vampires being at the very least a major plot device.
So with that being said, I'd bet we'll receive either a new dawnguard/x hunter group skill line for those that don't want to be vampires/werewolves as well as a more updated vampire skill line, whether that be through reworking the one we already have or adding in a new strand so that we can get vampire lord. The only reason I mention dawnguard and why I could honestly see it being it's own skill line is they're referenced to in the fighter's guild abilities, so clearly it isn't as if they don't exist or something. Something that would help this chapter sell quite well is the fact it could promise pretty meaningful choices/picking a side in the conflict. It'd be the first chapter where we as players could have the choice to work with the "bad" or good guys. Or they could totally not have us choose such, but imo it'd be a missed advertising opportunity. I could even see them throwing a bone *hah get it* to the werewolf players by adding in some nord werewolf side-stuff, but obviously I really feel like Vampires/x hunter group will be at least one of the major focuses for the expansion.
Think about it, this is really the ONLY next logical step for them to take with a new chapter since spell crafting is ruled out. It uses the unused nord hero, provides us with 2 new skill lines, gives the option for another vampire playstyle like much of the community has been wanting for years (they even acknowledged that a good chunk of people aren't happy with vampire at one point, but it wasn't on their list atm of things to look at. That was 1-2 years ago, so realistically speaking they could of gotten to it by the time next year rolls around.), provides VERY much needed vampire/hunter/maybe werewolf content (In a game with over 2000 quests, I find it absolutely dumb that vampires and werewolves don't have their own story lines by this point. I also find it odd there isn't a hunter group and you're basically forced to choose between the two. So the only clear answer here is that they're holding off on this for chapter level content.), and lastly it gets Skyrim out of the way for zones to be added.
I know there are some that would rather not see Skyrim until 2021+ or at all, but I honestly feel like all things are kinda pointing to Skyrim being the next place, especially the whole use of the nord hero argument. That and it basically is spoon feeding the potential storyline/content for the chapter, literally a vampire conflict I feel is the most realistic option for the next chapter. Vampires/werewolves/hunters are the most untouched concept in the game that has so much room for story lines and quests it's honestly kind of uncanny. We've had daedra, dragons, necromancers/undead, the whole thing involving the tribunal in morrowind, imperials. So for those that don't want to see a Skyrim chapter, I'd look at it like this: At least it gets it out of the way so that from there on out all chapters will have absolutely nothing to do with Skyrim. I'd say this could even be used as an argument as to why it'd be the next chapter as well, I'd imagine ZOS would kind of want to get it out of the way so they can really dive into newer stuff.
I'll be very surprised if the next chapter isn't Skyrim or at the very least has nothing to do with vampires.
So, what do you guys think? Do any of you agree that this is a likely scenario or am I just delusional?
PS for the people that don't want "Twilight Online", vampires/werewolves/hunters have always been a big part of ES lore in literally any of their games, it makes absolutely no sense for them to ignore that in the MMO, especially since players can become vampires or werewolves.
