I was thinking of purchasing a DLC and I am not interested in ESO+. Which DLC/Chapters would you recommend for players looking to get the best bang out of their buck?
Many trials make manifest
The stranger's fate, the curses' bane.
Many touchstones try the stranger.
Many fall, but one remains.

100% Orsinium. It was the first story DLC released and is still fresh to this day. It’s also slightly cheaper than Morrowind and Summerset whilst having similar play hours.

Also, in Orsinium there is a unique arena which reward you with great weapons.

Yeah, I was thinking about Orsinium. It kinda appealed to me. I think that I will pick it up!

I'd say Summerset for biggest bang for the buck - large dlc, jewelry crafting and psijic skill line.

Enjoying is all subjective and I enjoyed Murkmire the most from that perspective. I found the NPCs and quests both engaging and interesting. I also liked not getting 'cliff-blocked' when trying to navigate (like Wrothgaar and Summerset too often do). Lastly, I liked dealing with the Argonians because they are likable and friendly - unlike the Dunmer of Morrowind or Altmer of Summerset.
PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo

Orsinium is still the best zone. 2 different-ish endings, too. Not sure which choices determine which one you get, though.

As far as content like questing, Orsinium for sure. Thieves guild and Dark Brotherhood have great stories but you have to wait between steps in the main quest, and I never liked how they made those work. But both also have extra perks like the skill line you get out of TG or the blade of Woe from DB. Summerset you get jewelry crafting and has extensive questing. IC is great if you want another PvP area to play in. Murkmire is just kind of interesting, weirdo plants that can hurt you etc. The Morrowind ex-chapter now DLC is another large area for questing and has a pretty great story really. Then you got all the dungeon packs which just add 2 new 4 man dungeons each, not really my thing, but obviously a lot of people dig those.

**edited to add, I new I would forget something. Clockwork City is frickin excellent too.

For standalone story: Orsinium - its a great story that breaks out of the "evil daedra causing problems" mold that a lot of the other quests fall into. It also has the only solo arena if that interests you.

For gameplay: Summerset - it unlocks both jewelry crafting and the Psijic Order. Its not necessary to play Morrowind and Clockwork City before the story of Summerset, but in my opinion, the story is improved by playing the whole arc.

For thieving: If thieving is your thing, grab Thieves Guild. Pick up the Blade of Woe from Dark Brotherhood during a free ESO+ event, and you can have a great career in the "pick, pick, stab" business.

Yeah, pick what you like, really, because people will have totally different preferences and priorities in what they expect from their downloadable content - some want a story, others want PvE challenges, others want PvP, etc  Story-wise for example there is no 'superior' choice, because if someone hates High Elves and loves Argonians, then Murkmire will still be better as a personal choice than Summerset.

If you're a player looking for PvE challenges, focus on the trial/Arena DLCs based on where you'd actually want gear from: Orsinium with Maelstrom Arena is extremely useful, and there's also Thieves Guild with Maw of Lorkhaj, Morrowind with Halls of Fabrication, CWC with Asylum Sanctorium, Summerset with Cloudrest, and Murkmire with Blackrose Prison.

If you want skill lines to bring more flavour to your characters, focus on Summerset for the useful Psijic Skills (Jewelcrafting isn't all that useful tbh, it costs a lot, the writs are useless, and others can craft items for you), then Dark Brotherhood for Blade of Woe, and Thieves Guild for some juicy black market bonuses.

If you like PvP content, be sure to pick up Imperial City, and it does actually come with two dungeons so there's that too.

Orsinium was a really good DLC - loads of hours of content and a good main story quest. Lots of dailies, too, and a beautiful zone to play in.

Summerset (which is now a DLC) is also brilliant. With this one you pick up the advantage of jewellery crafting, too.

Both of these represent the game at its absolute best, in my opinion.

You could try the Guilds and Glory mega pack to start with. It contains Imperial City, Orsinium, Dark Brotherhood and Theives Guild. It's available for 5.5k crowns iirc.

It's how I started the DLC and I really enjoyed Orsinium. Imperial city was quite fun to do while trying to avoid enemy players. I felt it added to the challenge. Pretty good value imo.

And then Theives Guild and Dark Brotherhood have their own charms. Blade of woe being one of them B)

Not sure but Orsinium event maybe couple months out and will probably go on sale. I know you don't want to sub, but if you still have the initial 500 crowns, I would just sub a month, pick a dlc to play, I'd recommend Thieves or Clockwork, and hope Orsinium is under 2150 crowns during event and buy that.

Latest chapter Elsweyr STANDARD edition, it has all previous CHAPTERs including warden class which separated from Morrowind DLC now.

    Chapter:
Summerset - Jewel crafting, Psijic Order skill line, great MAIN STORY
Morrowind - good MAIN STORY, used to have warden class
Elsweyr - Necromancer class, average MAIN STORY

    DLC:
Clockwork City - good MAIN STORY
Dark Brotherhood - Dark Brotherhood skill line including infamous blade of woe, good side story
Thieves Guild - Thieves Guild skill line, good side story
    Murkmire - good side story
Orsinium - average side story, yes, for me it is average

Imperial City - almost never play, good for those who love PVP i guess

Btw, i didn't buy Clockwork City and Murkmire, I subscribe a month of ESO+ , spend less than half month to finish both, get my double bank space and unlimited craft mat bag which is game changer to me. Now I wonder do I really need to buy DLC?

ESO+ is the best one. Try them all for a month or two. If you plan on playing for any length of time at all, it's so worth it to just be a subscriber.

Even though Clockwork City is my favorite DLC by far, 1) it's small and a bit too short, and 2) it kind of continues and picks up where the story started in Morrowind leaves off. So as others have stated, Orsinium is a great dlc to start with good amount of content. Plus, doing it after completing the original main quest has a final cameo from a character, and foreshadows the events that begin in Morrowind, CWC, and Summerset.

    Agree with this.

I wouldn't take murkmire though unless they fixed it. I remember many buggy things there.

Get the four pack with Orsiunium, Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood and Imperial City. The first three are three of the best DLCs in the game at a bulk buy price.

Thanks for all of the valuable feedback guys! After consideration, I have picked up the Clockwork City, as well as, the Morrowind expansion, (mainly due to the nostalgic factor of Vvardenfell). I plan on purchasing the DLC bundle mentioned above, as well.
