Extreme lag
Not a complaint as it's something I'm getting very accustomed to but want to be sure it's not something on my end. I was doing a bit of levelling on one of my low level toons (already have 400cp on main and fancied trying a different role) and due to lag the dremora were dead before they even appeared. Clearly this wasn't the issue for everyone as people were collecting the chest but for the first time in 12 months and 3 times on the bounce before I eventually gave up, I didn't hit a single enemy. The lag I was experiencing was extreme. I've got to say I was playing in Primetime which can cause issues but never experienced it that bad before. Load times are also long when logging in. ✭✭✭✭✭It's ZOS. I can't say for sure how it works, but from my observations, server has algorithm which segregates users when overloaded. So for example in prime time it may be up to 10-20% of users with extreme lag (350-999+), while persons from same city and internet provider can have "okay" lag (50-250) in same trial.
How server selects users I can't say, maybe it's random, maybe depends on load on particular processor. Maybe depends on user activity, I noticed that when I play without AFK pauses my lag is mostly within "okay" limits, but if I'll go out for 10-15 mins while being logged in, or even closing game, when I return in peak hours lag will become red.2
