The "Randomness" of Battleground modes and maps

So I had a few days off and decided to farm BGs (<lvl50) for style pages and achievements. I already had the Deathmatch ones so I always ticked "Flag Games" (Capture the Relic + Chaos Ball) and "Land Grab" (Domination + Crazy King).
This is what I got (from memory):

• ~50 matches played
• 10% Land Grab matches (Domination and Crazy king in roughly equal number and on different maps)
• 90% Flag Games

These numbers may or may not be explained by the higher popularity of Flag Games

As for those 45 "Flag Game" matches:

• 45x Capture the Relic, 0x Chaos Ball
• 45x Foyada Quarry, 0x any other map
• 45x Fire Drakes, 0x any other team

In other words: Every "random" Flag Game match was Capture the Relic in Foyada Quarry on Fire Drakes team.

Now am I just having an (un)lucky streak or is something broken? Anyone else experience anything similar?

Seems a bit unlucky to me. I did a ton of land grab and flag games last week, made the leaderboards for both. I'd just queue for both and see what it gave me. I got placed on each team roughly an equal amount of times, and had a fairly even split between locations. The locations were a bit streaky, as I'd go a day or two without getting Mor Khazgur, and then the next day I'd be placed in Mor Khazgur 50% of the time. The type of BG I got placed in was also kind of streaky, as at the beginning of the week I got way more flag games, and later in the week I got placed in way more land grab games. I got crazy king more often than domination, and relic more often than chaosball, but I still got a decent amount of all of them.

Noticed recently my randoms have had far less death match. And I do mean FAR less
