Ignoring it/restricting it isn't a good solution. If it's going to remain part of the game they need to fix it, but I doubt it will be perfect or balanced no matter what they do to it.
Plenty of folks have given them ideas on it, so at this point they should have something cooking...Legalize Nirnroot!

In addition to that, you can do it already by unassigning CP if you just want the challenge.2
