MOUNTED DRAGON FIGHTING?!

Craft or acquire armor and weapons for your dragons, level them up, evolve them. Special quests or delves to capture rare ones. Breed and sell. Hot dog, that would be fun. Dragon mode BGs. Chaos in Cyrodiil.

Would have to be at the base game level. It wouldn't be very fair to annihilate an enemy raid with a dragon ult and strafe fire (or whatever) on the leftovers. Or maybe put a lower elevation limit for the dragon to activate attacks. You know. Cause it might hurt itself.

Please? Just sayin' (wish list).

And while I'm at it I want capes! (Yes, I know the game engine isn't built to support capes, but dang it if I don't want my toon with a cape on a rare dragon he's bred and leveled to max).

Devs, please pay me in crowns. You're welcome. Jk. Sort of.

The only mounted combat I can see as playable would be riding your mount into a crowd of badguys to do collision damage before it despawns and leaves you on the ground fighting.
The problem with society these days is that no one drinks from the skulls of their enemies anymore.

Why wouldn't mounted combat be playable? I'm no game dev (far from it) so this may just be a fantasy. Hypothetically though, the skills would be dragon skills. Granted AoE would be a sphere, and spacial (vs. ground) targeting would be something new (not sure how the engine would or could deal with that).

As mentioned above, there is plenty of dragon-mounted combat in Skyrim ... with mods to suit your taste.

"First, I would ask that you look to the poor and the suffering around Cyrodiil. Look into their hearts, and then look into your own."

It has been explained before their is not the axis for flying mounts which is a basic requirement for mounted dragon fighting. Well, I expect it would be pretty lame to have mounted dragon fighting and they cannot fly.
    Really, idk

When the game first came out, having dragons in the game was considered lore breaking.... So you never know.

    Tilte:
Even in Skyrim it was never fully posible. Even with mods it felt like you are just telling auto-pilot where to go, and move to pre-selected way-points, using pre-selected flight paths.
To my knowledge there were very little crpg-like games that have done it right.
One is Drakan: The Order of the flame (PC game) & Drakan 2: The Ancient Gates (PS2 game).
The other game is Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga. (Tes IV oblivion era game)
Both games are pretty old, but if you don't care much about graphics, then you should check them out.
As for ESO I do belive flying mounts wont happen any time soon (If they will happen at all. I guess we can expect to have underwater content sooner (if at all).

Dragon's Prophet, that's all. It's basically Pokémon with Dragons. Capture dragons, level them, breed them, they fight by your side, you fight on their back, they fight in an Arena. It's probably the worst optimized game I've ever seen but if you like dragons, there is whatever you would want xD

ESO engine is not going to put us on dragon's back :p

Are you new to Elder Scrolls?
In this world; Dragons are immortal beings that ruled over the mortals in times long since past and would consider it an insult for a mortal to think themselves anything close to the level of a Dragon.

Uh, you are aware how Dragons in the TES universe work, right? They're a highly intelligent and powerful race, and most of them want nothing more than to enslave and rule the lesser races of Nirn. In fact that's what caused the Dragon Wars and led to many of them being killed, with survivors having hidden away after it was all said and done. Dragons aren't some common mob with animal-level intelligence, and they can't be 'bred'. An idea like this would completely annihilate the lore associated with Dragons and everything they are in TES' universe.

As others said, breeding dragons is nonsense. They were all just once created. It also makes sense due to them existing beyond time. So the cycle of life doesn't apply to them. The only dragons capable of being born are Dovahkiin (I hope the plural is the same as the singular).

Well dang, notes (engine, lore, PC Skyrim, etc.) taken. Wasn't aware of the lore. Ah, and I'm on PS4, so no Skyrim modding for this player. Can't a gamer dream/ be ridiculous a little on forum? (rhetorical)
