Stamina = Green Magicka?

I have to say, necromancer has gone a little too far in the stamina casting department. Until now there had only been a couple of things that were blatant and pure magic despite being stamina abilities, but stamina necro is basically a mage that's using stamina.

Stamina is supposed to be used to accomplish physical feats, while magicka is used for casting spells. I understand that as an MMO the abilities need to be somewhat flashy to make them desirable to use, but shouldn't abilities that use stamina at least have some sort of physical strike involved? At what point did stamina just become green magicka?

Note that I am in no way saying that we should remove the stamina morphs, I just think that they need to be reworked so they actually feel like you should be exerting yourself instead of just raising your hand and making things happen.

What do other people think about this? Should stamina be reserved for abilities that require actual exertion? Or do you think it makes sense to cast spells with your stamina?

    I'd say the general consensus has always been to add more stamina class morphs and change the visual effects if necessary (ie Hurricane). Personally, I'm ok with stamina being "green magicka". Class identity was broken into two since the launch of the game. Both Magicka and Stamina offer different ways to play the same class and I think penalizing stamina users from enjoying their base kit is bad design.

    I think it's a non-issue, and won't be changed anyways; ZOS has a track record of ignoring complaints of this nature. Even when they went to make stamina morphs for the sorcerer stand out, they simply swapped to wind themes rather than lightning, and those use stamina as well.

    I'm personally of the dark souls mindset, in that you should be exerting yourself mentally and physically for feats and spells, depending on where the power is derived from, as well as the nature of the phenomenon.

    All in all, make up your own headcanon as to why stamina is used for some spells.

    stamina has been green magic since I started pre morrowind. Take a closer look at the weapon lines if you thought differently pre necro. Blades that swirl around the caster, bouncing daggers, momentum doesn't even use the weapon. It's just turns a maul into a giant wand that casts a spell on self. Endless hail from no arrows and you can ani cancel the pretend shot in the air. Then class skills are clearly green magic.

    Also, I love playing green magic. Seeing it for what it is doesn't take away the fun in the slightest.
