WHY PAY INSTEAD OF PLAY??

Hell, I'd pay to have a new character immediately inherit level 50 and all my shards and skill points. After the first few characters leveling another one is about as much fun as falling down a flight of stairs. :/

You pay with either your time, or with your money. Either way you pay with something. I pay with money for things I don't want to pay with my time.

I don't know, I look at it from a different perspective. Everything in life we do, we pay for. Either by money, effort or time. While I may not agree with some of the things done, I came to understand, the one thing we can never get back is time.

Money we can always earn. Effort is always useful because you always learn from it, or is giving you more practice to get better. Time. We can never get back.

I can see for some, when someone is starting a new character, they are paying one of two ways. You are either not paying or wanting to save money, you are paying with time. So just like a job. Someone doesn't want to spend 100's of hours to make a new class, they can just change the race for $30 or what ever it is. While it's almost like paying for a new game, what the person is saving is in TIME. So for people who don't want to spend the $30 and for someone like me to get to level 150, that would be saving 1 penny an hour. So what am I saving? For me, it's money. For others, it's time. Actually not a bad ratio. After all who in the real world would work for 1 penny an hour?

Some call this cheating or pay to win. Some call it pay for convenience. Others say "anyone can do what ever, it's their money".

Thing is, no matter what we do. We are always paying. Be it money, effort and time. So what we are doing when something new comes out, is we are always PAYING. Money to save time, or time to save money, and or effort in the case of people who don't want to go to Cyrodiil.

We pay one way or the other. So who is to say paying with money is bad. After all, if we don't pay with money, we are paying with the other two.
Not my quote but I love this saying

"I would pay It for support. But since they choosed we are just numbers and not customers, i dont mind if game and zos goes to oblivion"

Hm, how does it effect you in your personal game expierience when someone you dont know buys skyshards? I am really curious.

It affects you every time a company chooses to either monetize rather than rework poor design, or deliberately make gameplay suck rather than fun, in order to promote RMTs.
