I just see Khajitt to good of option.

Synergizes with critical healing and damage passives

Then you can use regain for sustain and basic stats are there, so it's well rounded choice for tank here too.

Imperial, maybe.

Or any race you like, this game is so flexible.

I think Khajiit is a solid choice, Argonian also.

most of the reliable parsers I see are recommending Khajiit. It is in fact the same synergy khajiit had with Templar before it got swaped to chd for khajiit.

From my tests for a StamNecro.

Orc - 94689 93157 95145 96319 93510 96670 Average = 94915

Khajiit - 96148 97154 96789 95890 95384 97201 Average = 96428

That's 1.5k DPS difference, mainly due to the extra sustain room Khajiit has along with the critical synergy.

I would expect the same thing for Magicka.
