We should stop giving this game any more money...

After playing the game to level 50, 400 champion level, doing numerous trial runs for gear and experiencing BG's and Cyrodiil at peak hours I can officially say this game is being milked like a rich cow for money. Why should we continue giving this game our hard earned cash when they make false promises about fixing performance?

- Do you really need that glowy non-combat pet that follows you around for $10?
- Do you really need a horse or mount that everyone else already has for $20?
- What good is that sick house you built when players are quitting in hordes?

The ONE thing that attracted me to this game was the player-versus-player combat. In the end, I find it's an unplayable farce. The TTK is already really low, or high depending but when you add lag, stuttering, disconnects, load screen bugs, animation bugs, weapon swap bugs, ability misfiring, it really removes skill from the equation and leaves you dead and frustrated.

There are a few types of players. Those who PvE, PvP, and those who just enjoy running amok or role-playing. But if you folks want to continue enjoying what you do, we all need to consider each other and right now the PvP players are really, really frustrated. Many quitting. Many just not playing anymore. if I quit, my friends will probably quit, its always a chain reaction and I am on the cusp of dropping the game out-right with them.

I agree there are issues with the game but there are constructive ways to start a conversation on the matter and I do not see this as constructive. The responses so far seem to suggest the same.

BTW. Zos might see this as advocating a boycott and I am pretty sure that is not allowed in the forums they own and manage. Just my 2 cents.

This would be a much easier sell if a month ago PVP player weren't responding to requests of consideration and statements of being very very frustrated with "LOL too bad!"

I do all of the above activities and have minimum trouble with them. Even with the problems that I do experience, I won't stop supporting the game.

You do you. Although, not sure why you feel like you need to promote a lemming syndrome (if i quit my friends/guild quits too! And visa versa) to garner empathy from random forum posters. All youre gonna get is half baked sympathy.

If you truly feel it has gotten that bad. You need to take care of your needs and either quit or take a break and free your mind up from the game. Not caring about if your friends, guild in the game or promoting they leave with you. If they, or even you, remotely, surely, and truly cared about it, everyone you are always active with ingame would understand and support what you need.

I think if we stopped giving the game money it would be a lot worse. It has problems but overall I enjoy it a lot.

Think I'll buy more crowns, and maybe do a longer sub cycle now.

According to the some reports, 10 000 000 players have purchased this game.
Let's assume that it cost 30 USD.

There's 300 Million, without crates or subscriptions.

if you feel the need to provide ongoing fiscal support to this company, that's your choice to live with.
But I don't believe that this game costs 60M a year to run. If it did, it would be a whole lot better.

    Enjoy your cashflow.

Where in the heck did you come up with 60M/year? Also, pretty sure many purchased the base game for much less than $30 if we are talking USD.

But you are right, it is everyone's choice to spend money on playing this game. Some want to play more than just the base game and that will require more money.

The Stories are still decent, and am invested in my characters. Playing the game without the benefits of a sub are just too painful to me, and it's an expense I can afford.

But, in a way, I do agree with you. Most of the micro-transaction stuff isn't all that micro. And you get plenty of freebies as is, and if you sub, then you also get enough crowns to "buy" those few items you really like. Not much need to invest more money than that. And I have stopped investing in this game (bought my last extra crowns during the last sale, so I can buy the kitty banker once it is available), and am slowly wrapping things and projects in preparation to moving to other stuff.

Since I am an Elder Scrolls fan, to some extent anyway, I will keep playing this game as long as new content is made to it. But once my current sub ends sometime after summer, I will probably stop actively participating in this game. I'll definitely start skipping all the grindy nonsense, like new motif farms. I mean I already have like 60 styles plus bunch of outfit only styles. How many do I really need? I don't even use 90% of the ones I currently have. If new stuff was less of a hassle to collect, I might fiddle and experiment with them just for the heck of it. But given the amount of time and effort required to get them, how limited the outfit system is without massive real money injection, doing something like that is just not worth it. And collecting even more is even less worth my time.

I did buy Elsweyr today though... But I always intended to buy it, since I am planning on spending most of my free time next month playing it, and since it is not gonna go on sale before launch. I though I might as well buy the preo-order version for the extra stuff. I only bought the regular digital upgrade version though. Skipped on the collectors version. Not worth it to me.

Elsweyr is also going to be the first new story content I am not going to be doing with my main. I am retiring my main and starting a new story line with another character. And I am totally gonna skip all the grind involved, and going with a character who is lacking most of the achievements anyway, will give me less incentive to waste my time doing them. So I am gonna ignore all the things like doing x amount of daily missions, looking for the new furnishing plans, and grinding for mementos and other time wasters. Just gonna play the quest and stories and then get back to finishing my housing projects before my sub runs out. And then that's it for ESO pretty much - at least as an active player.

I'll prolly sub for a month or two during the winter months, check the new DLCs, and then take a breeak and sub for a month or two when the next chapter is released next summer. But other than that... I doubt I am willing to sink more than that into this game anymore.

What the op refers to is that as long as Zenimax gets paid for their faulty product they will never listen to our concerns, why? Because they can get away with it and we are allowing that to happen by spending more and more and the message that we are sending them is that their game is perfectly fine when is not lol you name it, broken trials , broken pvp were lags kills you more often than players do, ultra high ping when Im so close to the physical eu servers. But yeah this is not about how to spend your money, this about what is right and how we should be treated as costumers becauae with out us paying patrons Zenimax would be nothing so why settle for crumbs when is us and our spending of thousands of dollars over the past 5 years that made ESO what it is now and enough is enough fix your game or don't get paid.

I regret I only have 1 awesome to give, well said!

You say this as they're about to launch their newest Chapter? They're producing content, and Elsweyr has a lot of it, did you even try the PTS to experience it for free? You could have done that.
