I noticed that many people do not run elemental drain in VMA on their magicka toons. I wonder why, since it provides better sustain and more damage against bosses with higher resistances. Am I missing something?
VMA is also the one place in game where the all mobs don't have the standard 18.2k resistance. The adds fall down easy enough without it, so better off slotting something else. Some mobs only have like 9k resistance.

So, can anyone tell me the exact resistances of mobs in there? I thought that 2 bosses had 18.2k resistance. In any case, light armor passive, ele drain and CP alone don't take yout to 18.2k

Thanks a lot for this! It is clear that every stage has at least someone with 18.2k Spell or Physical resistance, the other mini bosses have 12k. That tells me that elemental drain is worth slotting and using on bosses and minibosses since 12k spell penetration can easily be achieved through light armor passive, CP and Ele Drain (without Lover mundus).
I just run with 12k on my mag characters, cant be bothered using drain as i just dont need it, even the 18k resist enemies melt due to power creep, probs worth it for low cp players but stuffs generally dead or as good as dead in no time anyway these days.
