Incap aside, anyone notice the rising ZOO meta

First off. The incap change is laughable. Like. So bad. Horrible. Broken. List goes on. But going further, can something be tossed around up there by the person not responsible for the incap idea about the ever growing zoo meta. Example. Fighting in BG’s against two werewolves with each of packs. Also having one or two pet sorcs. You literally can’t hit the player with all this. Count them up, 12 possible pets. Then throw in some storm atros. Oh wait, then have them wearing Maw of the infernal. It’s out of hand.

    In bg, yea. LoS behind AI is an issue.

    The issue is not with the LoS only, but mostly with the tab-targeting system.

    By tab-targeting someone, you should automaticaly fire all spells and weapon attacks on the highlighted enemy, even if 999999 wolves, matriarchs, daedroths, attronachs and bears are standing in the way.

    Eso targeting needs rework, that's what we can all agree on.

    What if the player took 30%-40% of the damage dealt to pets? Pets have all the same resistance as their casters. Also give the pets a maximum distance on how close they can be to the player at all times so LOS is less effective. We could kind of compare it to the new form of wings.

    There's been a lot of discussion about this but ZOS has been completely silent on what they're doing about it. I don't think they care tbh.

    Sorry, are suggesting it’s reasonable to have many AI’s to hide behind. What is the counterplay? I’m curious. Incoming get gud response I’m guessing?

    Well, on the bright side when fighting werewolfs with pack-leader morph is that the direwolves doesn´t do any real damage, compared to sorc pets...... :/

    What is tab targeting? Play console no issue just aim at my target do fine.

    Zoo meta stems from a couple of bugs (fixed on pts) which allow higher shields and heals than intended on pets. It will mellow out once the patch goes live.

    Console is harder to tab target because you have to highlight the enemy player and hold down right joystick until targeted. What it does is highlight your active target in the crowd of other players/pets so you don't lose them in the stack.

    Very difficult to do on console because of fast paced gameplay, not to mention the key is integrated with crouch, so if you don't hold it down long enough you just end up crouching instead of targeting the player. Frustrating as hell!

    Funny I should happen upon this thread just now, stepped into BGs just now for two matches after not playing for a long time. All matches had WWs and pet sorcs and Templar tanks and I remembered why I stopped playing them.

    I'm mostly perplexed how there can be a "Zoo meta" and it's blamed on players hiding behind their Sorc pets in PvP... yet Sorc pets have been target-able since like when the game launched in 2014 or so?

    Or is this just the result of pet basic attacks gaining scaling so their damage was no longer ignorable? That was my experience over the last few years of PvP, just having all the pet damage healed through. Seems kind of telling AI pets are only just now an issue because they do more than tickle.

    ZOS still hasn't fixed that Battle Spirit gives pets +5000 HP but they just have an empty/unhealable chunk of HP missing in that spot instead

    At this point I just want all pets to be untargetable (but still vulnerable to AOEs) if ZOS can't come up with a way to fix this issue properly. So tired of not even being able to target enemy players because they have 5 different pets working as meat shields.

    I doubt ZOS will be in for the effort involved.

    I guess. I mean, ZOS should probably tone down the dmg on the Matriarch anyways regardless of what they do with pet targeting.
