Please add a "check for new mail" option under mail

I should not have to log out and back in, with all the related delays, just to get mail for something I purchased. Let me tell it to check the system for mail somehow when I am viewing my mail.

Yes. Fix the mailing system please! But since that wont happen any time soon. Here is some tips:

Traveling to another zone refreshes your mail.
Also, if you port to a new zone and you dont open your mail, run over to a guild trader. Buy something, and it will appear instantly in your mailbox by opening it.
Same if you are waiting for a mail from a friend. as long as you dont open your mail it will update.

So in short. the mail system 'checks' for mail ONCE pr zone you travel to. does not matter if you just traveled or you've farmed for hours. First time you open in new zone. it 'checks' for new mails.

Thanks for the tips. Quicker (normally) than logging out and back in, though I would still like to prompt it to check.

Your paying for a serviced game, hence said service should be maintained.
Just move the xbox game world to MS azure cloud platform or amazon, some cloud povider thats reliable.
Hell just turn on peer listening its likely to be more reliable then this cdn

Im surprised they didnt host the NA gamewords themselves seems cheaper in the long run especially customers who never get to use the product.

Most of us aren't paying. I subscribe, but many people don't from what I read in the free trial thread. The one time purchase is a drop in the bucket for what it costs to run servers.

A one time payment of $10 doesn't entitle you to much.

ZeniMax is a private company with extremely large revenue, and big name shareholders, my thought is large investment firms are starting to get hard up for liquidity due to drying up, same time ZeniMax games started getting abit aggressive with cash from the playerbases, aka fallout 76, ES blades for about the last year.

Basically group loans money, said group starts to feel market presure due to cash issues, demade debt be repaid fast, said company aggressively starts getting all the cash it can from its customer base

Customers cant ever be entitled, they are free to spend their money elsewhere
There is no entitlements in business from ethier side

Ethier side may inqire reasonable requests, its only set in stone when said exchange terms have been agreed upon

PLS also add a dungeon ready to enter pop "IN YOUR FACE" version of notification.
Missed so meny ques because i`m in combat and the only thing i hear is AH OH OH AH.
And the SH|Y number 1 in chat box dont help much.
(make dungeon ready to enter notification pop in the midle of the screen)

Personally, I would love some in-zone option to check your mail. Even if it was not just a convenient button, but walking to a "postman" NPC and asking them for my mail...

They could also add a small post office. There is a limit to how many items you can send in a mail. They could add some interesting features to the post office, like increasing the amount of items you can send in one mail (30-50), there could be a mail box that you can click on to refresh your mail box, and they could add daily quests that have you travel across the continent to different cities, delivering mail, or finding a lost mailman. Could add a few achievements for it as well. It would give another reason to travel around the world, and it would give some immersion as well. Not everyone would be interested in it, but that's the case for everything that's added.

You can also preview homes/go homes (it counts as zone change) or go into outlaws refugee and mails will arrive immediatly

Only if people spammed it. That could be viewed as abuse however, if it continued too long.

I can't see that random checks would cause more lag than having to log in/out or change zones does.
