Quest effects on character permanent

Did the quest to clear out the wood orcs ( wilderking arc ). Used the tree to cover myself in insects and be stealthed. Quest is completed but the insects persist. it has been days now since the quest was done, I have moved on through multiple zones, logged out for the night etc. How do I get rid of that effect?

I believe that the effect is a 'costume', and as such, you should be able to remove it from the inventory screen (on the character image to the left). Hope this helps.

yes, it is. I kept mine as it seems to help a little when I need stealth.0
